  • Sweet Jesus it's an opinionated article. Of course there's going to be someone in the world that really doesn't approve of it all to much. Honestly though there are some points in there he made that I

  • While the author has a point (I prefer games with less cliches) this article still wants me to beat him with an oversized metal key.

  • I personally like the article and it's editorial written by Jack DeVries and does not speak as IGN a whole. He brings up good points and defends them quite well,You don't have to agree with the article

WTF??? I'm telling you, they probably get payed to do this

I am so mad. He's one of those people that just can't get it.

This guy didn't know what he was talking about. It's Pride LANDS not pride ROCK. Toy Story was gonna be in KH2, but it was taken out due to time constraints, they went to Kingdom Hearts in KH2, and the fact that the story is SO complex is one of the best parts of Kingdom Hearts as a series. He had one good point: CUT IT OUT WITH THE FIRETRUCKING SORA CLONES! 4 Sora's is enough!

..... I've read better from butthurt raging fanboys. Sorry (insert Idc IGN dudes name), give a little more to why you think the game sucks. :/ Everything he's complaining about is just the standard crap everyone else seems to complain about these days. *yawn*

People still read IGN? I'm still waiting for them to die out. (which will never happen)

Also people don't have to like same things you do.

I am going to kill that dued he is just a big whiner KH is a complex story line made by a TROLL so of course it is hard to under stand

Meh ive heard better and worst reviews then this but they have a point the story is kind of getting confusing at points there going to need to explain alot of things soon or the whole game series will pay for it

Sad thing is that what the guy sang is true, and that was a pretty bad troll attempt imo.

I think IGN's run an editorial along the likes of this before. It was about the time Days came out. (I don't have a link, and If that article made you angry then I can't imagine why you want to agitate yourself further.) Same complaints as that one, more or less.

I found it irritating partially because of the "accentuate the negative" tone and partially for faulting it for things that are out of its control, ( Disney IS too restrictive, and there isn't enough variety in the worlds due to copyright fusses, but don't shoot the work for being forced to work under those restrictions. Disney has been in the business for 80 years, they're not gonna bend to some other company's whims unless you bust their kneecaps.)

If I didn't hold IGN in as low esteem as I did already for its pathetic attempts at man-pandering I would have been more agitated. Nothing too great to see here people.

I hate how this stupid "Jack Devries" who I've never even read an article by on ign (and I've read a lot of ign articles) just goes in and thinks he knows everything about kingdom hearts. The story is a little confusing, but great, the side games are not spin-offs and the entire boss fight of KH2 takes place inside kingdom hearts!!!

The only things I can agree with are that they shouldn't put the games on different consoles every time and TWEWY might possibly be the generation's best RPG.

Come on people this is why their called IGNorant.

The funniest part was when he said "Go to firetrucking Kingdom Hearts already." LMAO

He has some valid points and he even states that KH3D may be the game that fixes all the things that this series, according to him, has made wrong. By the way, I don't think that videogames should be played for its story, That's why they are video-games. It's like trying to play hide and seek with some plot. Some videogames have nice stories, but they could end up being an interactvie movie rather than a videogames

By the way, I think this has been stated for ages, but the reason why KH3 can't be made is caused by a game called FF Versus XIII. Why Nomura doesn't use another studio? You should ask him.

Another thing is that the writer stated:

Kingdom Hearts II, while a messy, unnecessarily complex game, managed to wrap up a lot of the loose ends by way of killing all the characters who were lame. It had a real ending, the main characters got reunited, and the world was saved.

Then, may I ask why do you want KH3? If KH2 had a real ending, then, why to make KH3? There's no storyline to follow.

This is just my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.

i usually agree with ign on many of their articles. such as Final Fantasy 13-2 and Asura's Wrath, just to name a few. while, i think this writer seemed a bit too hateful on the series, he made a few good points. I do agree that Disney has, a bit, too much control on the series, but i understand why. I also have some disagreements with him. for instance, i find Roxas to be a very engaging character. Maybe, i'm assuming here, but i feel like half the people on this thread only read the title and immediately got pissed off. Besides, god forbid a guy for having an opinion.

*Notes who all the intense fanboys/girls are by the posts on the thread*

Like people have said before, this is an opinion we are talking about people. This one guy's views doesn't represent all of IGN, or what Kingdom Hearts is for that matter. How do I feel about what he said? I have points where I agree with him, and points where I don't. Yes, there are things that could be different about Kingdom Hearts, things that would make it better.

Atlantica in KH2 is (In my opinion of course) the worst and most annoying world in the entire series so far. I thank the team for making it a non-plot important world, a smart move on their part, considering that if I'm not in the mood for getting Orichalcum+ (I at least think there was one), a Blizzard upgrade, and the Keyblade for that world (Don't remember the name), then I don't have to. I also agree with what he said about "We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend. Now I will step forward to realize this wish." because honestly I don't understand it either, at all. Does it make his opinion (and mine as well) right for everyone else? Not at all. Are there things in this article that I don't agree with? Of course. I'm not sure I'm fully hooked on the Toy Story world idea, though as I think about it, it probably could make a good world.

All in all, it's just an opinion, and there's no need to make death wishes against this guy. Sure, there are times when I feel strongly about something...Now that I think about it, that's the case here. But nonetheless, it doesn't mean it has to turn into a blood bath.

I tried to understand what the article was saying. I really did. But, to me, he just sounded like one of those guys who criticize the entire series and just wants KH3, only with correct spelling, grammar, and that he can publish his thoughts on one of the more popular video gaming sites out there.

And the fact that he refers to BBS and KH3D as "spin-offs", and that KH and KH2 are the only "real" games makes me question how much he knows about the games and the storyline at all. It's his opinion, and I respect that, but he could have at least tried to make himself sound like he had some sense in him.

Yeah, he probably could have changed what he said about it to seem like so much less of, well, a full force argument. I can't say I'd know how to word it better, but still.

He has an.... OPINION?!?!

BLAARRGGNBRUEOJ;NF EALJFNARFJUOA BHFBRFGNJHKBFHEWBNFLHRB UJREFKA HE MUST DIE A PAINFUL DEATH!!!!!!!!1!!!!11!11!

I know right?

I was about to create a thread about this but then I took an IGN to the face.

With that said, I think the writer only looked at the bad side of the game, seriously I can write a better article than him.

In the end, a hater is a hater and we move on.

i don't agree with some of the stuff in this article but parts I do. First off I liked Ventus ok don't diss the boy, second ok yea there has been a few things with the many people conected and looking like Sora but hey it's part of the story, now Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 weren't the only real games, all of the games were real games really they all contributed to the story in some small way or another, some contributed more than others but thats not the point, i agree with the fact that the first song in the Atlantic world was annoying http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png but i enjoyed some of the songs in KH2 that we had to sing, and we did go to Kingdom Hearts and seen it in most of the games, we seen it in the first one, we fought in Kingdom Hearts in the second one and saw it again in Birth by Sleep, and honestly I'm still confused to what Kingdom Hearts is, so far i think its a door or a big heart shaped moon, but still, I enjoy the games for the story and characters and battle system and basicly everything, and I can see why some people wouldn't like it, it's their opinion, no big deal and hey we bash on other games to but people like playing them its just an opinion so just say "Ah well" shrug it off and continue playing the games we all love

I didn't read the article, but I checked to see who the editor was, and I'm not surprised one bit. He is the IGN editor that reviewed Re:coded. And I hated him ever since reading what he said in the review when he referred to BBS, my favorite KH game, as nothing but a filler game and a prequel just "Kingdom Hearts" in name becuase it has keyblades. O RLY?! The game whose events had an impact in EVERY KH game, a filler?! And he actually referred to Re:coded, the game that is least important story-wise, as non-filler? The fact that he thinks Re:coded was a better game than BBS is proof that the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Now I don't care much about IGN, but whenever there would be news for KH3D on IGN, I noticed a different editor doing coverage, and unlike this loser, is actually more fair and balanced and doesn't whine "Where's KH3?!" I can't remember his name, but I really do hope he's the one who'll review KH3D for IGN as he is a rare IGN editor that I actually like.
