I think that there are keyblade techniques. Almost like classes. I would think that Terra, Aqua, and Ventus knew about this but Sora and Riku didn't so they adopted their own, which just happened to be actual techniques.

Brutal: A slower attack but is more powerful. Lower magic abilities. Used by Terra and Xehanort.

Magical: A faster attack than the brutal but the attack power is weaker. Magic abilities higher. Used by Aqua and Kairi.

Rapid Fire: A balance between attack and magic, however attack speed is majorly boosted. Used by Ventus and Roxas.

Defender: A balance between attack and magic, however its strokes are more defensive. Slower attack speed. Used by Sora.

Fencer: Abalance between attack and magic (slightly more magic), however its strokes are more offensive. Similar to fencing. Used by Riku.

If you have any edits or comment or more techniques feel free to post your thoughts about them.

If this is true then I'm not so sure Xehanort should be listed under brutal. He did use quite a bit of magic when we fought him in BBS.

It's funny I always referred to Sora and riku as street wielders while TAV were formal style wielders.
