Recommended Posts

The Silver Age of Comics is considered to cover the period from 1956 to circa 1970.In this time there were a lot of crazy/weird things happening in which i will show later in this thread. The 1960's Batman show was at the time a good adaptation of what silver age of comics were like at the time.Grant Morrison a current comic-book writer as been known for putting silver age material or things like it in his current comics like All-Star Superman and Batman RIP btw he is one of the best writers in comics.Silver age also introduced likes of Spider-man and Justice League with many others.

I love how Superman just happens to know about how an enitre solar system was wiped out by a plague and thinks 'Hm... that's a good place to sneeze...'.

My answer is that silver age writers did whatever they felt like.It raises the question what if he got a cold when he is Clark Kent and Perry is talking to him about some news story and he's got to sneeze but Perry won't let him leave.

Superman blows the Earth back into orbit

Some facts about Silver age.Barry Allen became the Flash during this time and also rise of Marvel with things like Fantastic Four and X-men.The biggest names of Silver age are Jack Kirby,Steve Ditko,Stan Lee and there many others. What ended the Silver age were more or less was characters becoming more serious, the end of 12 cent comic and the next line of great writers like Dennis O"Neil who would later write one of my favourite characters The Question. They were other reason of course but these are most cited ones.
