I believe that you should let people be happy and love who they want. Cause if you think about it, if you were in love with somebody and someone just kept judging you just because you love that person would you stop loving them because a bunch of people hated you for doing so? I'm not gay myself but I have a couple friends that are and I still treat them the same as my straight friends.
My mother is homophobic so it is hard to bring some of my friends over... :/

actually, to be more specific, I have many lesbian friends and ONE gay friend. XD
actually, my one gay friend is bi...yeah....
i think it's cool to have gay friends! i feel so comfortable around them because i know nothing werid can happen to our friendship (and we can both check out guys together, lol. XD)
as for my lesbian friends...sometimes it can be a little awkward when they check me out and stuffs, but same thing. they know i'm straight so they don't bother with me, so we're all like sisters! :heart: except the drama gets sooo annoying. because then all my lesbian friends take turns going out with eachother, then something doesn't work out, and then i have the shoulder to cry on. i love them dearly, but i do have more things to do than comfort them all 24/7 (i'm such a softie! "^-^)
then all my other friends are straight...as far as i know...I don't know, i think one of my "straight" friends might be gay. :

Well, because I'm a Christian, I think being gay is wrong. The Bible says that Homo. is wrong. So that's what I believe.

it's perfectly alright not to like gayness and stuff. i mean, quite honestly i thought gay people were werid, but after i got to know them i realized they were they were still people and it doesn't matter who they love.

but i do challenge your second statment. "The Bible says that Homo. is wrong." Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say what you believe is wrong or start a religious debate here (that'd be a very stupid move on me anyways, considering I'm probably the only Jew here. "^-^) But i do challenge that statment.
Why would God make us all different, yet divide us up and give us books that tell us what is right and what is wrong?
That makes me wonder...aren't we all the same, yet different, regardless of religion and race and gender? Honestly, I question God's motives. He fills our heads with riddles with many answers, but it seems only the answers he gives us are correct.
Sometimes I wonder if we are all simply God's little toys; he sets the scene and watches amusedly as the action unfold.
I'm not sure if I should fear him or embrace him...I know when I was younger and my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, I prayed to God for the first time and asked him to save her life. But I guess, no good deed goes unpunished.....

I was also like to challenge Sushi's statement about "The Bible says that Homo"
1 Corinthians 6:9 states that all adulterers, idolaters, homosexuals, and effeminates are all wrong. Which means, that people that cheat on their husband or wife, or 'do it' before marriage should be treated the same as homosexuals. But they're not. I'll give you two examples.

Ex. 1:
If a pastor was to get a divorce for any reason at all his congregation might be upset about it for a time but will eventually get over it.

Ex. 2:
But, if another pastor was to be homosexual his congregation would leave him. Even though homosexuality is suppose to be treated the same way as divorce, it's not. People believe that there are different levels of sin but honestly they are all on the same level. sin is sin.

Really this is a topic that I have had to look through the bible about. Out of the 36 books of the bible only 6 verses talk about homosexuality. Most homosexuals believe that God hates them because they love someone of the same gender. The reason most of them believe this is because a lot of Christians do hate them. I had a friend ask me once "Why does God hate me for loving?" That was a year ago and honestly I couldn't answer her then, but now I feel that this past year has prepared me to talk to her about it...

Anyway That is my belief about it and I am a Christian.

Ughs, i knew this was going to happen, but IDC!! I don't hate any body! so I'm not shunning or saying that i don't love these ppl. hating anyone is wrong. And God doesn't hate ANYBODY! he loves everyone in the whole world!! tell me where in the Bible it says, "God hate sinners." it doesn't he LOVE EVERYBODY! He's just sad that we became sinners. That's why he sent his son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we can confess of our sins and be forgiving and follow God throughout our lives. That's all I'm going to say b/c i thought you guys needs to hear that and i don't what to make this topic and huge argument because of ppl beliefs. I"m sry if i upset anyone here, i didn't mean to.
