Me thinks people were expecting a bit too much for this. I was expecting it to be way more disappointing. Nomura hinted at HD remakes, though we never got more than that. People were expecting HD remakes of KHI and KHII Final Mix versions, along with Re:CoM, in one box for the PS3 (I would be pretty disappointed if it was only on PS3, I really don't want one...), plus some bonuses like art books and CDs. This whole thing was just destined to cause rage.

Yeah, I always expected the 10th anniversary box to be nothing but a box of stickers and decals of logos from the KH games. This turned out to be much better than I thought. But it doesn't matter to me anyway since I don't even import things from Japan. Plus, I realize that for many people here, 358/2 Days was the first game they played, and they ended up being KH fans. Though it's no guarantee, there's a chance this bundle may attract new fans. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm just waiting for DDD, nothing else with it.

Pretty much agreeing here. Really, why would they bundle Sony games with a 3DS? Doesn't really make any sense to me :/
For the bundle itself, I don't really care. I already got a 3DS and Days+Re:Coded, so the box never interested me.

I was hoping for an HD collection, but I didn't think they would bundle it with DDD. I thought it would be something completely separate that you could buy on its own to celebrate the 10th anniversary.Pretty much agreeing here. Really, why would they bundle Sony games with a 3DS? However, I am not ready to spend so much money on the box unless there is at least something different. It doesn't deserve the bad treatment its getting in this thread, but it can't be helped now can it.
If it ant in HD or on a console to some of these Sony fanboys (I'm guessing

its not really about sony fanboys its about wanting kingdom hearts 1 and 2 remade for current gen and they originally can out on SONY ps2 so...yeah^^I was introduced with 358/2 Days as well.

10 years.... 10 YEARS! i've watched my dad play since i was four, then played it when i could read. ive bought everything there was to buy i LOVE this game. And they spit this at us? !!!!!! 10 years! I am definetly not gettting this. no way. I was totally sure they were going to do an HD 1 and 2. This move from square.... almost makes me want to not like kingdom hearts any more. They were probably thinking "Hey, lets just go against the reviews, and try re selling the two most un sucesful games ever! yeah! waste another ba-gillion dollars!" I cant wait to see them crash and burn when this comes out in japan and nothing happens. GOD THERE IDIOTS. I'm upset.

man i feel old on this forum haha, i was 11 when kh1 came out and ive been a fan ever since... in fact it has helped fuel my love of video games in general over the years. now im not as upset as some people over this bundle and i am super excited to get kh3D (playing as riku!!! XD) but days and re:coded are by far my least favorite game in the series so if this get released outside of japan i'll be giving it a miss.
I honestly wasnt expecting to get a HD remake of 1, CoM and 2 just yet but it is something I would love to see some day, it would be worth the wait

Wow. I'm sorry but i think this is a mistake i mean come on? your gonna put the 2 worst games (profit wise) in the box so you can sell it more for the franchise. I think they shouldve done ALOT more i mean come on it's been freaking 10 years! I wouldve remade KH1 and possibly KH2. Dream Drop DIstance is going to save their butts though.

Same for me I was 10 when KH came out, my dad bought it for us (me and my sisters) and like always he and I shared one save.
I got up to the end of Hollow Bastion and got stuck then KH2 came out, I played that for a while but then my parents seperated in late 06 and didn't play KH agian till last year when I restarted KH1 and finally finshed it, played half of COM then KH2 and Days, bought a new psp cause my old one broke and played BBS (good year for me
).I didn't really think the anniversary box would be a HD remake (1FM+ReCom+2FM) but i thought that it would be at least some thing to do with KH1 or at worst something that would be worth getting but for me this is not.

Fact of the matter is as much as i liked days and somewhat coded it does not do the tenth aniversary justice especially since those games were the last to come out and people are more likely to own then already. Not to mention the price that they ask for is a little high for something most people already have.

profit wise, Days actually sold around the same amount as BBS and CoM (GBA version)

I have to say, while I understand the points of the people who don't mind what's coming in the bundle, I am firmly a member of the "This is a severe disappointment" camp.
It's true they didn't have to do anything for Kingdom Hearts' 10th anniversary, but the point is that they did decide to do something, and when you decide to commemorate the 10th anniversary of a series so amazing, you want to do something equally amazing. Days and re: coded were my fourth and fifth favorite games in the series, respectively (although I personally thought coded's story was so brain-breakingly stupid and unnecessary that the only reason it isn't dead last is because it has an infinitely better gameplay style than Chain of Memories), but they're not what you want to use to represent the series, because they were two of the weaker games, and games that contributed very little to the plot.
I also understand that Nomura only ever hinted at the idea of HD remakes, much less Final Mix ones, but if that's not what he had in mind then he shouldn't have hinted at it. Remakes of Birth by Sleep, KHI, and/or KHII (the main games in the series) would have been much more fulfilling, and they also might have given us non-Japanese fans a chance to experience the Final Mixes (hopefully the games being in HD would have fulfilled the "new content" quota Sony's licensing policy requires for overseas releases of remakes). Nomura also said he wanted to do something that would make it easier for new fans to get into the series... how do Days and re: coded make the series more accessible? You have to have already played every other game in the series to really understand what's going on in those two games (and if you live outside of Japan, you still don't have the full picture). This was the kind of thing I was expecting for the KH 10th anniversary box before the big reveal.
