Drop-down menus, how do you feel about them?

If you could hover over Home,Games,Videos,Music,Information,Gallery,Forum and see a dropdown list of subsections, how would you feel about that?

I don't think it's so necessary, the lists would all be pretty long, especially the forum one and then it probably wouldn't have the same kind of info that actually clicking onto the forum page would give you, like the summary about what they are and what the latest updated topic was, so I really don't see the point of having drop-down menus. To me, it seems like a lot of work for something small that wouldn't even necessarily make the site easier to navigate or manage.

The Forum one would display Boards, Status Updates, Fan-made Images, Fan-made Videos

It was too difficult to include the sections of the main site within it, so I removed it. I might bring it back for the forum, actually...

Be sure and do something that's supported by as many browsers as possible. (LOL, actually, I'm sure it's not a problem anymore these days, not many people are using ancient computers with nothing but old versions of IE, and even if they were, the top links would work the same as always and they could eventually get where they wanted to go all the same.) Still, there may be fancier and newer scripts that pull of the same effect in a 'cooler' way that still might not have full support across all browsers. It can still look nice and be incredible basic, so steer of anything that's too new, just in case. It's getting to be pretty old tech now, drop down menus, but they're always looking for new ways to do old things with less coding, and sometimes less is not more if it just breaks for half the viewers.

All in all, go for it! I think it'd be neat and I trust your judgement and coding abilities. <3<3

I guess that would be cool, not something necessary right now, though.

Lol,
DONT DO IT!!

Actual reasons why -> Its annoying, cluttered, and goes over the content on the site. It helps with navigation but not enough to warrant use.

I am in support of this. I am active on a forum where all the main sections and their subforums are listed on the same page, and it actually looks really nice, and is much easier to navigate. The subforums of subforums are not listed however.

Of course, many of the actual discussion places are really "subforums" and the design is much more simplistic, but just wanted to show you how it might look.
