So now that the Japanese release date has been confirmed as March 29th, time to start speculating a US release date (which in turn can include the UK date, seeing as they're usually only a day or two apart.)

 

By the trends going, I can see a Q4 release date for us. Meaning sometime in late October to mid December. Birth by Sleep came out eight months after the Japanese release (Japan's being January and ours being September.) However, we got 358 in half that time, only 4 months later, also in September. Re:coded was a bit faster, but I can barely count that as it (appeared to be) much simpler to localize. That took only 3 months, from October to January.

 

For 3D, I'm not sure. It's a DS game, but it's also a 3DS title and on-par with a game like BbS. So It's kinda hard to guess. I'd say September again. Seems like they have a trend. I know this just blatantly defies what I said above about a Q4 release, but oh well.

 

We should see 3D with English localization between September and December, at my guess.

If they decide to keep the birthday trend going and have the western release for September/October.....I'm gonna have to start going on a murder spree or something. >/

I will be shocked that a company that is suppose to be "localizing the game faster than usual" just decides to release the game on it's 10th anniversary because it's the 10th anniversary(does not compute). I understand Japan doing it, but normally the companies don't care when they release the game overseas because of a special day.

 

I expect before September.

I'm tipping August. They have confirmed that an English trailer is coming soon via the official website and Facebook page. September isn't out of the question either.

Well, since Kingdom Hearts 3D is a much larger game, similar to Kingdom Hearts BBS, and 358/2 Days and Re:coded were simple, and shorter DS games. I would think that Kingdom Hearts 3D would be released from August-October. I hope that the game is released on my birthday, or close to it, so here is my release date speculations.

 

North America:

 

September 6, 2012 (BBS was released on September 7, 2010. Notice that 3D will be released in Japan a day after the first game was released, except 10 years later. Since BBS was released on September 7, I would hope they would release the game one day earlier, except two years later. Also, that's my birthday

 

United Kingdom:

 

September 22, 2012 (I just am guessing. I think that might be the release date.)

 

Australia:

 

September 24, 2012 (Usually the Australian version is released a day or two after the UK version.)

 

Also, if you didn't get what I meant when I said September 6, 2012. I was saying that since the original Kingdom Hearts was released March 28, and this game will be released a day later. They should do what they did with that except one day earlier and with a different game. BBS was released September 7, 2010, this game should be released a day earlier, just on different years. Just clearing things up.
