It having a "full and original" story is debatable; but whatevs, everyone has their opinion. :3

Well what I meant by that is original,I mean at least it HAD a story that was different, where as Re:coded had little story and barely revealed anything, except for what the journal says and letting the player know that he has to save everyone. BUT being that KH:DDD is connect to BBS,days, and coded,I could be and as a matter of fact PROBABLY wrong about that! But never-the-less,when you have two games liek days and Re:coded, one huge factor is story, and days gets HUGE points for the originality in its story... I mean really SORA'S MEMORYS... Org. 13 member XIV?!

Ooooops!! I was talking about days!! :P

Dude really they have pretty much the SAME exact graphics!

Yeah, I'd probably say it's my least favourite of the series - doesn't mean it didn't have its moments, just not for me. Preferred Day's leveling system because it wasn't as much of a nightmare to change panels; free roaming wasn't that big a deal for me because it was places I'd already been to (although going through C.O. was fun because I haven't had the opportunity to play Re:chain of Memories / Chain of Memories); "multiplayer" was a disappointment after the Mission Mode in Days. Despite that though, enjoyed the battle system (hadn't played BBS at that point) and liked the fact that they at least tried to liven things up in the worlds with turn based systems and 2D platforming, but I wouldn't play it again.

tl;dr Not a fan of Re:Coded, I like Days more :P

Yeah, it's the wost in teh series. That's not really saying much, seeing as Kingdom Hearts is the awesomest thing ever. I didn't absolutely hate it...but it was way too short, and out of them all, definately the worst. Because I LOVED days, you haters. At the same time, I can't say BBS was the best...

EDIT: The worst part was the system sectors being overly repetetive. After a while (er, short time) you memorize all of the same layouts and they get boring. I did like the introduction of the commands (I hadn't played BBS yet). Naturally it couldn't be exactly the same, it couldn't be that easy, but it had some pretty cool things in there.

I'm a bit torn on the game. On one hand, I can appreciate the attempt at doing something different. The notion of having each level offer something relatively different from the others gave it a feeling of variety and continuing interest. I especially liked the notion of giving Donald and Goofy direction in the Hollow Bastion level, as well as the traditional RPG gameplay in Olympius Colliseum. All together, the game felt more like a traditional platformer, with more attention to jumping and puzzle solving than being more action oriented, and what's more, it did it pretty well, I thought. The problem right there, though, is that the thing I love about Kingdom Hearts is the fast paced fighting and button mashing, and without that element present here, the game did not feel like what a Kingdom Hearts game ought to. Had this been a completely original title, it would have been great, but underneath the Kingdom Hearts mantle, it just didn't hold up.

Also, the story is lacking. While I did appreciate that they didn't completely recycle the plotlines from each world, and tried to add new elements her and there, the grander story arc was a bit flat. Try though I might, I can't quite take the threat of red blocks popping up as seriously as the game wants me to. Compared to whole worlds being eaten by Heartless, it doesn't really hold up. The ending and ultimate payoff was pretty solid, and who you fight as the final boss was a very pleasent surprise, but as someone else has said, you really didn't need to dedicate a whole game to it, and could have just put it at the front of DDD.

Ultimately, while it's not really that bad a game, it's not that great a Kingdom Hearts game.

yeah I'd say Re:Coded was pretty useless as far as story goes, and the gameplay was sometimes fun and interesting, i just didn't like how all the sector levels were some sort of duplicate of the other ones, like there wasn't that great a variety of different rooms, they just used the same ones over and over again. and then there's Days, which probably had the best, most interesting and satisfying story of all the KH handheld games (seriously in a near tie with COM but COM loses by like a half point by my standards) But gameplay was frustrating and boring. It was so hard to get all the emblems that you win for the challenges and Multiplayer. really bugs when you have to do certain episodes over and over and over........ It made me really sad how their faces looked horrible and had no emotion or anything (don't think they even blinked...) and it really just took away from the emotion of the story. I hope they do a remake of Days and not make it suck.

First of all, I wouldn't say that there is any KH game is 'bad.

They are all awesome to me, at least.

Coded was a good game, in my opinion. I admit, the story was a little boring, and quick to finish, but there were some things added in the game that were pretty cool. The secret ending was nice, and I'm glad we finally got to play it -- instead of only letting it for Japan's phones.

I'd give a 8/10 for this game. It wasn't the best KH game, but not that bad, either.

I would say no.

Look at V cast.

Jesus that thing is like the baby Tails doll and Weegee.

And it can give you all kinds of cancer, diarrhea, intestinal infection and trauma.

Think of it as 2 girls 1 cup: KH style

The thing I hated the most about it was the fact that all the cutscnes (REAL cut scenes, that bubble crap does not count as a cut scene) was a collaborated total of like.... 7 minutes. Really? I know it's a DS game, and they don't hold much memory... but really...? That's it. :(

OH! And the stupid Eliminator Heartless that appears in the sectors. ..... he aggravates me.

It isn't my least favorite, but it is close (I say Com/ReCoM is my least favorite becuase of the stupid card battle system). The problem with Coded was that it was trying to be too much like KH1 rather than its own original game. Days easily accomplished being an original game, Re:Coded didn't. In fact the thing my three favorite KH games (BBS, KH2, and Days) did were to actually be original, and not be a KH1 rehash like Coded and CoM. But Coded did have some good things that I believe make it a better game than CoM. The battle system was so much better than CoM's cards. And the final battle with Roxas alone makes this game worth getting. The battle was so good that I honestly think it was a better battle than the final battles with MArluxia and Ansem SOD in CoM combined. Besides, I'm sure we won't be getting anymore KH1 rehashes after that survey from summer that showed most fans preferred KH2FM and KH2 over KH1.

Well the fact remains, your alone is your card system hating world, for everyone else loved it,it was REALLY different as a matter of fact from KH 1,simply BECAUSE of the card system, how can you say its similiar to KH 1?!

Oh please, I'm not the only one who hated the firetruckin' card system. Get your facts straight! And when I said it was similar to KH1, I was talking about the rehashed worlds, not the battle system.

Ah,well I DO excuse saying you were alone in your opinion,of COURSE there are others. What I meant to say was MOST people liked the new battle system, because it was unique and different, and worked really fluidly.Curious what was wrong with it did you just have a hard time battling with the card system? Or do you not like strategy and just like to mash a button, which I actually do prefer.

The worst is 358/2 days.

Just a bunch of shameless Organization XIII/Roxas fan-service and probably contributes the least to the overall Kingdom Hearts plot-- you know, the one about Sora. Not Roxas or Xion.

Go ahead and disagree with me all you want Days fans~*~*

Fair point. This survey (http://kh13.com/forum/topic/25180-what-do-you-think-about-the-cards-system-of-chain-of-memories/) shows that about 50% liked CoM's card system, but preferred the gameplay of other KH games. and about 40% didn't like the card system (I'm in this group). And around 3% loved the card system. If you like the card system, I totally respect that.

But for me, it was a nuisance. No blocks (unless I had I freakin' higher card number, which I had to quickly scroll to get one while the enemy was using their number 7 or 8 card on me). Spending hours and hours just to get the one card necessary to open the door to continue the story. Gameplay is supposed to be fun. I certainly didn't have any fun with CoM's gameplay. Every other KH game however, I actually enjoyed the gameplay, whether it's the button mashing or the command deck (personally, I LOVE the command deck). This was one major factor that made me like Re:Coded more than CoM. But don't get me wrong, I still like CoM. It was the game that introduced my favorite character Axel. Its events led straight to KH2. The game is just my least favorite KH game, but I'll still play it every once in a while.

Ah... yeah it depends on how well you are able to adapt to a new gameplay-system,which a bit more then 50% are able to I guess, including me.The card system DID probably make it the MOST difficult KH game, but not too difficult or frustrating.BUT AGAIN,as you said, you had a ton of trouble with the card system.
