tutti frutti. Played through KH1 again and got to the part where Sora stabbed himself with the black Keyblade (Keyblade of Peoples hearts, maybe? don't know the official name) Anyway, Sora did this to awaken Kairi and help her. Since Sora did this, wouldn't Ven's heart have been released as well in the process along with Kairi's? Both Ven and Kairi's heart both went inside of Sora at different points of the series for different reasons, but if Sora wanted to release Kairi's heart to help her, why not Ven's as well in the process? Views on this.

So now Sora will be collecting the hearts of 7 princesses to get this keyblade back so he can stab himself? I like this development. But most likely there will some magical other way to extract his heart without hurting Sora.

I always thought that when Sora did that, he did release Ven's heart, and it manifested into Roxas, but based off of Sora's memories, since Roxas is Sora's nobody, not Ven's. And then at the end of KH2 when Roxas and Sora became one again, Sora got Ven's heart back. Just an idea though.

No, Ven's heart stayed in Sora's body and helped form it into Roxas while Sora's Heartless was given a body-like shell thanks to Kairi's powers bringing him back from the Darkness. Then at the begining of KH2, Sora and Roxas merged, with Sora's body taking it's normal form again.

Sora didn't have a body per-say. It was a body-like vessel that kairi created in KH1, that was what that light was. In reality, he was still technically a Heartless throughout the rest of KH1 and all of CoM.

??? First time I've heard something like that! I just always assumed they had two separate bodies. Ventus and Vanitas had two bodies after all...

That's because it was Ven's heart split in two, light and darkness. However, when Roxas was created, Sora got turned into a Heartless, the little shadow we played as in KH1. His body, soul, and Ven's heart formed Roxas, his Nobody. When Sora's Heartless made it back to Kairi, she unknowingly used her Princess of Heart powers to craft a body-like shell for Sora's heart, since his body had turned into Roxas. You can't just have another body at will, Kairi created one from her light, while Roxas was Sora's real body. When they merged in KH2, Sora got his body back and the shell Kairi created dissappeared. It's true that there isn't really anything that I read that states it, but it's an educated guess from my knowledge of the series. If new bodies could be created out of thin air, Xehanort wouldn't have needed to possess Terra, he could have just crafted himself a younger body and move into it.

I thought about that after I played bbs. For me, that makes sense. I always felt that Roxas had a heart.

Were not saying that Sora ever lost his heart, were saying that Sora lost Ven's heart when he let Kairi's out. And i don't think that Kairi could just make another body for Sora. That's kind of ridiculous. Maybe Sora getting his body back is because of the same reason that Kairi still had her body when Namine was alive.

I don't think you read my post well enough, I said Kairi didn't create another body for him, I said she created a body-like shell to house his heart, as Roxas was Sora's body. He didn't get his body back until KH2. And Sora didn't lose Ven's heart, it stayed in his body when Roxas was created, thus the reason why Roxas had Ven's heart and appearance. If Ven's heart ever left Sora's body, it would have gone straight back to Ven, like the hearts of the 7 Princesses when they were freed.
