Lmao! ikr? i don't know who came up with santa but apperently he's been around for a long time. to me, it feels like every year people forget more about jesus when it comes around this time of year (well, what i see everyday in December). i don't really find it annoying anymore for some reason, it's just that sooner or later young kids are gonna realize that santa was a lie

Jesus wasn't even born in the winter
He was born in spring
in like March
it's not even a Christian holiday
it's Pagan
lmao
And if people like Christmas, let them like Christmas for whatever reason
Since it's not even technically the day Jesus was born which is hilarious

To me, Christmas isn't about the birth of Jesus Christ --mostly because I'm not a religious person. The same goes for many people I know offline. Christmas is basically a larger Thanksgiving. You see family and eat a lot of food. Except on Christmas you get gifts, and give them in return (plus you get more time off from school). Because of what Christmas has turned into over the centuries, it's more of a Hallmark holiday. And I'm completely fine with that. I mean, I like getting gifts, and I like getting gifts for my friends and family. The time to sleep in and drink ten times my weight in hot chocolate is nice too.

Everybody has their own reasons for liking Christmas. Whether it be for religious, or personal, reasons, let them be. Some people don't like Christmas, that's fine too. Let people spend this time of the month anyway they want to.

Before Santa Claus was around, people celebrated Christmas because of the "Baby Jesus".

Then if he was born in March, what are we celebrating?

I don't like Christmas because of Jesus. I don't believe in God?
I celebrate it because the thought of sharing, giving and receiving, not only gifts, but love, but also the gifts, pleases me, and I celebrate whatever I want c:
Besides my whole faily does it so there's no way for me not to.

Even though I'm aware it's not the day Jesus was born, I get hyped up because it's the representation of the day He was born. I find that exciting and it's a big deal, plus Christmas church services are so much fun.
