Lu Xun 2,069 Posted December 21, 2011 A Unique Christmas! - A fanfic of Roxas, Xion and Axel. [This is supposed to happen before Xion’s destruction, and during the time when the three of them were together all the time] **************************************************************************************** It was simply another day in the World That Never Was. Now, after the loss of some members in Castle Oblivion, the castle was quieter than ever before. Luckily, Xion, Axel and Roxas were chosen to go in the same mission. It was like normal missions; just to defeat some heartless, and then go back to the Castle. With the three of them together, this mission was very easy, and so they ended it up quick enough, which allowed them to get some extra time to spend together. As usual, they went to Twilight Town, to have some ice cream together. This time, they stood talking about the castle, and the other members of the Organization. Roxas felt sad because of the loss of Larxene, Marluxia, Zexion, Vexen and Lexaeus, but at the same time, he was so happy that Axel was able to come back home safe. Axel told both Roxas and Xion that it was December 23th, and so, intrigued, they asked why he was telling them that. He replied that it was almost Christmas. ‘Christmas?’ What’s that?,” Roxas asked. ‘It’s a special date, where people give presents to each other... It’s so fantastic... In the past, I used to give presents to my best friend, a boy named Isa. But now, our great friendship seems to have vanished...,” Axel replied. “Aw... I’m sorry... By what you’ve said, I think we should -- Why don’t we celebrate Christmas together?,” Xion asked. “It’d be cool! When is Christmas?” Roxas made a question as well. “In two days... December 25th... And I think it’d be nice if we were to celebrate it, but it’d be something too dramatic, don’t you guys think?” Axel replied. “Dramatic? You’ve said it’s made of happy moments! I want to have good moments with you two to remember when we’re old...” Xion said. “Yeah, I agree. We should celebrate it!” Roxas said. “Okay... If you two insist so much, then maybe we can celebrate it. But it’s like this, each one of us will have to get a present for the other two, okay?” Axel explained. “I think I got it... I will give a present to you and Roxas, and I’ll get one from both you as well, right?” Xion asked. “Yes, Xion. That way, no one stays without getting presents!” Axel replied. “Oh... I understand it now... But, can the present be anything at all?” Roxas asked. “Yeah, just use your imagination, and think of something that we might like... But what counts is the intention and the act of giving...” Axel explained. After they had this conversation, they decided to return to the Castle. It was already late. And so, each one of them headed to their respective rooms, and stood thinking about what they could give to their friends. In the next day, sadly, Saix sent each one of them to different missions. However, in one way, it was good, because they could search for something to give to their friends without they knowing what it would be. Xion went to a place where there was a beautiful beach, and so she decided to gather a lot of sea shells for Roxas. At least his present she already had in mind, now only Axel’s was left. Axel went to a world where there was a beautiful castle, which was also empty. No one resided there for a long time now. So, he thought that it would not be so bad to get something from there. He found a beautiful crown, which he would give to Xion in the next day. He was still unsure about what to give to Roxas. Roxas went to Twilight Town, where he bought some ice creams. In one of the stickers, it was written ‘ WINNER’, and so he decided to keep it to give to Axel. He would give the special sticker, and one sea-salt ice cream to him. Until the night, they managed to get the presents for the ones that they had not yet found. The three of them were very excited for the next day. Since it was Christmas, they would not have to go to any missions; it would be a vacation day. It was finally December 25th. Roxas was the first one to arrive in the Main Room, where the three of them would meet, and give presents to each other. Even though it was said that nobodies don’t have feelings, the three of them could feel something like what for somebodies would be happiness -- they felt special, and unique, for the first time of their lives. Axel managed to decorate the Main Room with a lot of things related to Christmas. Everything was so beautiful. When Roxas and Xion arrived, they told Axel that he had done an awesome job in the room. Before giving the presents, they wished Merry Christmas to each other, and sang some songs that Axel had brought to them. It was the happiest day in their lives so far. Roxas was the first one to give the presents to his friends. He gave the special sticker and one sea-salt ice cream to Axel, who stood very happy after he received this gift. To Xion, Roxas had found some beautiful flowers, and also had bought a ring for her. Just like Axel, she stood with a feeling that resembled happiness for the somebodies. She hugged Roxas, and thanked him countless times. Words could not explain what she was feeling now. Now, it was Axel’s time to give the presents. He firstly gave the beautiful crown to Xion, who felt like a Queen, and pretended to order her friends to get more presents for her. The three of them laughed a lot, and so Axel gave Roxas’ present to him. Some beautiful clothes, which apparently were used by the King of the Castle that Axel had visited. Just like Xion, Roxas felt like a King, and began to give orders to both Xion and Axel. They laughed so much -- according to Axel, only best buds laugh together. They surely were ‘best buds’. Lastly, but not less important, it was Xion’s time to give the presents for her friends. To Roxas, she gave a lot of sea shells, which she had collected in the beach she had visited before. They could hear a noise if they stood quiet and put the sea shells near their ears. To Axel, she gave some delicious fruits, which were eaten by the three of them. Before ending the ‘ceremony’, Xion shared some paopu fruits she had found in that beach. She heard some boys talking about a legend that says that whoever shares these fruits make their destinies connected forever. It was the perfect ending for such a special day. However, when they were leaving the room, Saix appeared, and said that they should not be doing such stupid things -- they could never be truly happy, anyway. They were so happy that they decided to pretend that they did not see Saix, and so each one of them headed for their respective rooms, where they stood enjoying the gifts they had gotten from their best friends. It had been such a special and unique Christmas for Axel, Roxas and Xion. They surely would remember this day forever! ***************************************************************************************** I dedicate this story to a special person that I’ve been entrusted to make a gift. I felt some serious feels, not unlike when I played the game. As for criticism: "It’s a special date, where people give presents to each other... It’s so fantastic... But now, our great friendship seems to have vanished" The reason I put that in bold is Axel is kind of informal and it's weird to imagine him saying that so well, formally. Good job.
