Hi,I decided to write a fanfic about kh. It's a story that goes on through out sora's life, but has very little effect on sora's life.Koru is a young man living in destiny islands.He has spiky brown hair and is the only one in his family with green eyes.His family doesn't know that he and his best friend Ramo are keyblade wielders. They fought the keyblade war and lost many friends in it. alot of the original kh characters are in it.Well hope you like it. :)to be honest the story has more to do with another character that comes later in the story.Chapter 1:Prelude"He's got your eyes Hana[Koru's cousin]", Koru said smiling at the newly born , blue eyed baby.""Sure does", Hana replied smiling at her son. Koru was feeling really happy,it had been hard for him to get over the number of friends he lost in the Keyblade war five years ago and having a second nephew really lifted his spirits."Aw, he's so cute! I can already tell he'll be best friends with my little Riku",Horu, Koru's older and only sister, said happily as she held her young six month old,silver haired,light blue eyed son. Ramo,who was dragged here by Koru stood by the window and asked,"Um..I have a question.What exactly is his name?".Everyone paused."Whoa, i can't believe i didn't think about that," said John,Hana's husband.Koru immediately jumped up ,beaming at every one."I know! We can name him....Sora"Suddenly everything began fading into white. "Koru, Koru wake up!",came Ramo's voice. Koru opened his eyes.He was lying on hard,rocky ground and in front of him stood a boy with black hair and dark brown eyes,he had a bit of a square jaw and held a rather fierce looking keyblade in his right hand."You okay?", Ramo asked. "What happened?" Koru asked rubbing his head as he got up. They were in an abandoned and rocky place called the 'badlands'. "Some heartless attacked us and one of them managed to hit you on the neck and knock you out", Ramo explained."Ah at last, i didn't think you would awaken", a voice came.Both Ramo and Koru looked towards their right and saw a man standing on a boulder. He had golden eyes,a small grey goatee, he wore a black leather coat over a white buttoned shirt and was bald. " Xehanort!", Ramo and Koru said in unison."Indeed I am, I heard you were looking for me", Master Xehanort said as he waved his arm and his keyblade appeared in hand.Ramo and Koru attacked Xehanort with their keyblades,but he managed to block every hit and kicked both of them in the chest. Ramo immediately got back on his feet and swung his keyblade in the air several times, releasing several bursts of silver flames at Xehanort,but he managed to deflect them all with his keyblade."My turn", Xehanort said with an evil smile.He pointed his keyblade at Ramo and shot a dark purple ray which hit Ramo on his chest causing him to fall on his back several feet away. Suddenly, almost as though out of nowhere Koru appeared a few feet above the air behind Xehanort and attempted to slash him with his keyblade. Xehanort turned around almost instantly and blocked Koru's attack and countered with such force that Koru was pushed into the air.

Koru immediately regained himself in mid-air and shot thunder at Xehanort from his keyblade.Xehanort disappeared and reappeared in the air near Koru and slashed with his keyblade. Koru blocked the attack,but Xehanort immediately kicked him in the face and he fell next to Ramo who was a few feet away.Xehanort calmly reached the ground on his feet. Koru got up next to Ramo and immediately noticed that a some strange black smoke was emanating from the left side of his chest."Ramo!",Koru shouted as he got to his aid."K-Koru, run h-he's too st-strong", Ramo said weakly."It's no use, his heart is damaged and dying he will be dead soon",said Xehanort with a wicked smile.No! Ramo we have to merge our hearts, it's the only way",Koru said.Xehanort aimed his key at the cloudy sky and shot a ray which cleared the sky and revealed a heart shaped moon.Koru looked at the moon i terror and said"If we don't merge our hearts he'll succeed in starting the keyblade war again, we have to Ramo". "D-do it!", Ramo said. Xehanort watched as both Ramo and Koru touched their chest and pulled out a small light in their hands and merged it.The two lights became one and grew till it consumed both of them. Xehanort was no longer smiling,but looked interested.The light disappeared and in it's place stood a boy with black messy hair, dark green eyes a slightly square jaw and was wearing baggy grey Bermudas with a white half sleeved shirt and a black hood. He held in his hand a merged version of Ramo and Koru's keyblades.Xehanort smiled wickedly and immediately lashed at the boy with his keyblade.The boy blocked many of Xehanort's attacks and was doing much better than Ramo and Koru. However Xehanort managed to kick him in the face and hit him with his keyblade on the back.The boy got back up and stood glaring at Xehanort. "You have a strong heart,perhaps if i use it for my plan things will go faster"'Xehanort said looking at the large heart shaped moon above him. "We'll see about that", the boy replied and lashed at Xehanort who blocked it and punched him in the face."You are wasting my time now, I have to find a young man and get him to unleash his darkness,well i guess I must cut this fight short", Xehanort said as he clashed with the boy. He shot several balls of flame at him which hit him in the face-it all happened so fast. The boy fell on his back and rolled backwards on to his feet just in time to see Xehanort shoot a blackish purple ray-one which seemed far stronger than that he used on Ramo- from the tip of his keyblade at him.The boy immediately jerked his keyblade and it became covered in transparent white flames. He immediately used this lit-up sword to block the ray and caused a huge black dome to form which covered several metres.Neither Xehanort nor the boy could be seen. A small opening appeared on the top of the dome and a ray of light shot through it and into the moon above.The dome slowly disappeared. Only one man stood-Xehanort. He smiled wickedly and walked backwards into a dark portal he just opened. The clouds above started covering the moon until it was no longer visible.

Chapter 2: Fading Memory

 

On a nice cool night in Twilight town a young man lay on his bed staring at the ceiling. He held his custom made,long,black 'struggle weapon' loosely in his right hand,he wore a black finger-less glove on his left hand,a random army chain around his neck,grey bermudas, and a black half sleeves shirt with a white hood that matched his short, spiky black hair.He started thinking about his crush, Xomina. A girl with long dark brown hair,light brown eyes a slightly round, cute face and a sweet, yet strong and confident voice. She was his classmate at Twilight High and a good friend.He just started thinking about her when he suddenly realized he could no longer remember what she looked like nor what she sounded like.He squinted his green eyes "That's odd", he said to himself.He could remember things she said and remembered talking to her,but for some reason could not remember her face or her voice. The part that actually worried him is that his memory was not this bad.Assuming he was only forgetting because he was tired he fell asleep.

He woke up next morning to his alarm and started to change. A voice came from downstairs,"Kei, breakfast is ready"."Coming",Kei replied. He got downstairs and found his younger brother,Kimaru at the table joyfully eating pan cakes. His breakfast was already on the table. He began eating his breakfast when Kimaru asked"Hey Kei, when is the struggle tournament?" "I don't know I haven't asked yet",Kei replied.After breakfast Kei left for school.He reached school and found his friends Jake and Dan sitting at the back of the classroom. He sat next to them and looked around.He nudged Dan and asked"Hey, didn't Xomina come today?"."Who?", Dan replied."You know, the girl I've been crushing on since last year, brown hair brown eyes, you used flirt with her just to annoy me. Remember?",Kei explained. Jake put his hand on Kei's forehead."Hmm, his temperature seems normal",said Jake.Dan chuckled.Kei took Jake's hand of his forehead,"Ha ha, that's real funny",Kei said sarcastically."Well your the one trying to get us to believe this mona thing",Dan replied."Xomina!",Kei said loudly.Some students turned around and looked at him." Yeah, okay Xomina or something", Jake said coolly. The teacher walked into class holding the attendance register and began reading out everyone's names to check who was present and who was not. Kei was surprised that the teacher didn't call out Xomina's name.

After class Kei took Dan and Jake with him into the hall."Where are we going?,Dan asked as he and Jake walked behind Kei."The school's Achievement Board",Kei replied.They reached a large well decorated board crammed with medals and certificates. Kei scanned the board while Jake and Dan stood next to him."Hey look it's that Setzer guy",Jake said as he pointed at a picture of a young, silver-haired boy holding a struggle weapon and standing next to Kei."Yeah I remember that guy,Kei almost beat him at the tournament",Dan started. Kei wasn't listening he was staring at a certain certificate in complete confusion.

"Something wrong?",Dan asked."This doesn't make sense",Kei replied,"Xomina got this certificate,not Roxanne.""Maybe you don't remember,but Roxanne bragged about this certificate for about a week",Jake replied."No Xomina did",Kei argued. "Who the HELL is Xomina?!",Jake yelled. "Forget it,maybe I've just lost it",Kei replied calmly."Well what do you think we've been trying to tell you?",Dan said.

Through out the rest of the day Kei could not concentrate on his classes. After school he went straight home,denying his friend's request of having 'sea salt ice cream'.He went to sleep.

"We can't go home anymore,no one will recognize us like this"

Kei opened his eyes,it was night time."We can't go home anymore?",he said to himself,"what does that mean?" He decided to go outside,there was one place he remembered going to some time ago when he was having dreams about some strange,yellow-eyed,shadowy creatures and some people in silver jumpsuits, with some strange mark on their head.They kept yelling the word 'key'.

He went outside and came to a hole made on the town wall.He walked into it and reached the 'woods'.He continued walking until he came out and was standing in front of a large,abandoned mansion with a huge lock on the gate. He began walking around the small,dark,open area in front of the gates thinking about Xomina.The moon lit the place where he walked."How come I'm the only one who remembers her",he asked himself. He suddenly jumped in shock, he swore that out of the corner of his eye he saw a girl appear in the window on the first floor and disappear in a second. Frightened, he turned around and began to walk back towards the hole he came through when suddenly a dark portal opened up in front of him and a cloaked figure stepped out with two strange swords in it's hands.

Chapter 3:XieK


Kei stood still, the mansion visible behind him under the moonlight. He immediately felt his body was no longer under his control, and this became even more believable when he jerked his hand to the right and from a flash of light a spear, which looked more like two,simple swords connected to each other by their 'two-foot-long', white hilts, appeared in his right hand. If this wasn't shocking enough for Kei his mouth began to move."Tell me what's going on, Xomina!",came the words out of his mouth.

Xomina ran at him with her swords in hand, jumped in the air and slashed at Kei who dodged the first hit and blocked the next. She continued attacking,slash after slash and Kei managed to block some of them until he took a painful kick on his stomach and fell a few feet away from the large gate behind him. He got up and fought back and was,to his surprise, fighting rather well.

He swung one side of his spear towards her,but she jumped a few feet back and he missed.She ran towards him again,bringing both her swords together to form an ' X'.Kei also ran towards her holding his spear diagonally and they clashed,the middle of Kei's spear against the X formed by Xomina's blades.Her hood had come off revealing her brown hair and her round face.

"This isn't the first time we've fought",came her voice as she struggled to keep her blades against Kei's spear.Both of them broke off and jumped back several feet from each other. Kei breathed heavily while Xomina stood calmly as both her slightly key shaped -as Kei now noticed-swords disappeared into two small bursts of silver flames.They stood silently,the mansion behind Kei and the dark woods behind Xomina.
"Are things a bit clearer now, Xiek?",came her voice.

Suddenly everything began to spin.The mansion slowly appeared behind Xomina as her cloak slowly disappeared to reveal a black,sleeveless shirt with a white hood,a small necklace with a heart pattern on it, grey skinny jeans and a black, finger less glove on her right hand. She jerked her right hand and a spear appeared in her hand which was the same as the one Kei had. Confused from how she was holding his weapon and the strange feeling that he was holding something in both his hands Kei looked down.

"WHAT!?",he yelled as he saw in his hands the two "keyblades"-as he now remembered their name-and a black cloak over his body . As he scanned the black cloak covering his body in shock Xomina asked,"How much do you remember Xiek?".He looked up and memories suddenly flashed back into his mind with a painful headache.


"Ah, Xiek what a pleasant surprise",came a deep voice from a cloaked man.He was sitting on a small boulder near the sea in the realm of darkness.
"What do you want?",Xiek asked rudely.
"To exist.By the way, do you know a boy named Sora?",the man asked.
"No".
"Well,maybe you should go see him,you two have something in common",the man said.
"Where is he?",Xiek asked,but sounded as though he could not care less.
"Castle Oblivion",came the reply.
"Not interested",Xiek said.
"I have a question,where do you think you came from?",he asked.
"The darkness".
The man laughed."You remind me of someone",he said.

Everything went dark for a moment,then another memory came into Xiek's mind...

"Who are you?And where did you get those keyblades from?",asked a young blue haired girl with glowing blue eyes and her blue keyblade pointed at Xiek.
"My name is Xiek",came the reply from the black,cloaked figure.They were both standing near some old unoccupied buildings in the realm of darkness,there was no road and they were several miles away from the castle.He was breathing heavily,clearly this girl was very good at fighting.
"Are you stuck here as well?",she asked.
"Stuck?No,it's just that I have nowhere else to go,this is where I was born,in the darkness",Xiek explained.
"But how come you have two keyblades?",she asked.
"I don't know",he replied.He disappeared into black flames.
"Wait", came her voice, faintly.

Everything was dark again and more memories came....

He was standing on sunset hill with his keyblades in hand.The beautiful sunset allowed a small view of his face underneath that cloak. In front of him,tired and exhausted stood a brown haired girl with a two-sided spear like weapon in her hand.
"I'm not giving up!",she said.
Xiek sighed and pointed his keyblade at her, a dark orb appeared on the tip and began to expand till it was as big as a basketball. A light orb appeared on one side of the girl's spear and started expanding till it was also as big as a basketball. Xiek lifted his keyblade and swung it towards her.The orb went straight towards her.She turned the orb on her spear towards the dark orb just in time for both orbs to meet.A large flash of light made it impossible to see anything and from there on Xiek remembered his life in Twilight Town as Kei.

Xiek opened his eyes,the head ache was gone.He was still standing and a few feet away so was Xomina."Do you remember now?",Xomina asked.
"Yes, I do,... Naomi", Xiek replied
"Well, then let's continue where we left off",Naomi replied with a smile.
They fought and after a few slashes and hits Xiek finally managed to hit his keyblade on her head and she fell on the ground, unconscious.Xiek decided to take a one last look around Twilight town before he would,once again, set off on his journey to find more answers about where he really came from.

Chapter 4: Namine`


Standing on the roof of a building in Sunset Terrace Xiek thought about where to go next. Voices from the bits of memory he managed to regain echoed in his head. "Well, maybe you should go see him,you two have something in common."
"O-B-L-I-V-I-O-N. Oblivion, got it memorized?"

Xiek was still in deep thought when he heard a familiar voice,"How come my eyes don't hurt when i look at the sun from here?". Xiek turned around to see four familiar faces standing on sunset hill not very far from him-Dan, Jake, Naomi and Kimaru. "Well kiddo, it's not just this place it happens everywhere. When the sun starts to go away it takes it's light with it so the further it goes the dimmer it looks, that's why your eyes don't hurt right now",Dan explained.
"You didn't have to tell him that know-it-all,he's gonna learn this in school next year anyway",Jake said.
"Yeah well, he asked",Naomi replied smirking.
"See Jake. Oh by the way Naomi you totally owe me for promoting your little brother's education",Dan said smiling.

'Brother', hearing the word Xiek felt like he was being stabbed in his empty chest. If he had a heart it would have burst from the pain he would have felt. He opened a dark portal and walked into it.
It was past midnight,a full moon lit the beach as the waves crashed against the shores.Xiek stood staring at and island not far from where he was standing.

"Have i been here before?",he asked himself. For the first time he felt as though he was close to finding out at least something about where he came from and ending up on a beach he knew he had never been to in the past decade made him think his luck had finally come.He lifted his right hand and one of his two keyblades appeared vertically held in his hand as he examined it.

"Hello, Xiek",came a voice from behind him. Xiek jumped and turned around as he pointed his keyblade towards a slightly transparent, blonde haired girl,with blue eyes and a white dress standing behind him. She giggled. "What's so funny?", Xiek asked in confusion as he lowered his keyblade.

"We can't talk here", she said as she moved closer and held his hand. A light flashed and the next thing he knew he was standing in a room which was completely white. In the middle of the room there was a large crystal ball on a large eight-sided star pattern on the floor.There were pillars on two of the walls and windows on the other two walls. "Who are you and where am I?",Xiek asked.
"My name is Namine`.This is the 13th floor of Castle Oblivion",she replied.
"Castle Oblivion.....wait a minute,is sora here?",Xiek asked.Namine shook her head.
"You probably want to know where you came from",she said. Xiek thought for a minute.
"Either I'm making my thought's obvious or your psychic",Xiek replied. Namine smiled.
"Neither, to be honest".
"Then how come you know what I'm trying to achieve, do you have some sort of power over me?"
"I guess you can say that".
"What!?How?",Xiek asked in surprise.
"See, I have special powers over Sora's memories and of those connected to him",Namine began explaining.
"Are you saying, I'm 'connected' to Sora?".
"Yes".
"How come? I've never met him".
"No you haven't, but your the Nobody of two people who did",Namine said.
"Two people? But isn't a Nobody formed from just one person?",Xiek asked. Namine was not surprised how he knew this, after all Xiek had lived for over ten years.

"Normally a Nobody is formed when one person loses their heart, but Kei was different.He was formed by Koru and Ramo's hearts so when he lost his heart he technically lost two hearts. That's probably why you have two keyblades",Namine continued explaining.
"Why did they merge their hearts?",Xiek asked.

"They were trying to stop the keyblade war from happening again.Five years after Sora was born, they found out about Xehanort and his plan to start the keyblade war.They had already lost so much in the first war they did whatever they felt was necessary to stop Xehanort, but he was far too strong, After Kei was defeated Xehanort found a boy named Ventus and used him to forge the Key Blade which would start the war. Xehanort forcefully merged his heart with a young man named Terra in order to become young again. He carried researches on worlds and hearts and attacked his teacher when he was forbidden to continue his research. He became so full of darkness that he became a heartless named Ansem. His Nobody was just as dangerous and had almost succeeded in his plan,but" ,a smile appeared on Namine's face ,"Sora managed to stop them both".

"And what about Naomi?",Xiek asked.
"After ten years of dead ends and fighting heartless you became tired so you planned to live inside someone else.Naomi was the perfect choice, she had a powerful weapon which you could use to remain safe and from there on you know what happened",Namine said. Xiek nodded.
"Yeah, I decided to merge myself with her",Xiek answered.

"At first she chose to let you stay.She knew how Nobodies wished to live like normal people,she knew one.But unfortunately, keeping you inside her heart brought too much pain and it not only harmed her but you as well so she did what she had to do, free you",Namine finished. Xiek sighed.
"Well then, where am I going to go?",he asked.
"Do what i did, find your original self",Namine suggested
"In case you forgot Namine,there's a difference i can't merge with my original self because he's gone",Xiek replied.
"No, but maybe you can merge with Ike".
"Who?",Xiek asked in confusion.
"Kei's heartless"
"Is that possible?",Xiek asked.
"It's just a thought,but I know some one who can confirm it".


"Who, Namine?"

Chapter 5: The Tower


"Yen Sid",Namine answered.
"You think he'll be able to tell me how i can go back to normal?",Xiek asked.
"Yes, he is a very wise man and has often given the best advice. He reads the stars and tells what might happen so he'll most certainly know what to do",Namine said."It's time for me to go back, Kairi should be waking up soon". She disappeared in a small flash of light after saying this.
"Thank you, Namine", Xiek said this and stepped into a portal he just opened.


Xiek walked out of the portal and was standing in a circular white room."That's odd, how did i get here?",he wondered as he suddenly noticed a large white chair in front with it's back turned towards him.

He walked towards the chair and found a young boy sitting on it. He had blonde hair, a white and black shirt with some sort of armour on his right arm,he seemed to be asleep. Xiek put his hand on the boy's shoulder and shook him,the boy did not move.He shook him again, but nothing happened."Who ever left him here knew this boy would stay asleep", he said to himself and began walking towards a door not far from where he stood.Once again he was in another room.He kept going through portals until he finally made it outside."Alright, let's try this again",he said to himself as he stepped into a portal. Fortunately it worked this time and he was standing outside a strange tower surrounded by trees. It was on a small floating island. He went inside.
 

Sitting on a large chair behind an even larger desk with a massive book on it was Yen Sid. He knew Xiek was here especially when he heard Donald's voice coming from outside the room
"Organization thirteen! What do you want?". "Careful Donald he looks dangerous",came Goofy's voice. "I ain't scared of some Nobody!",Donald yelled. Suddenly both of them yelled in shock."A keyblade?!".
"I'm asking you freaks nicely, step out of my way!",came Xiek's voice through the door.
"Over my dead body!",came Donald's angry voice.
"Yeah, if you want Sora and Riku you'll have to go through us!",came Goofy's voice.
"Sora's here?",came Xiek's voice.
"Get him!", came Donald's voice.Both of their yells came through the door along with a few crashing and thud noises. The doors flew open and Xiek walked in.

"Ah, Xiek I was expecting you",Yen Sid spoke as Xiek took of his hood.
Goofy and Donald came running through the door,"Master Yen Sid be careful he might try to hurt you",Goofy warned. Yen Sid quietly shook his head,"He is not here to fight or hurt anyone, so please give us some privacy",he said.Both Donald and Goofy walked outside, Donald muttered something like "stupid nobodies".
"Take a seat young man",he said as he gestured toward a chair in front of his table."Now",he began,"you wish to become whole again,of course all nobodies have this desire".
"I was hoping you could confirm something a friend told me",Xiek said.
"Ah yes, Namine must have told you about merging with Ike". Xiek nodded."But i must tell you that it is slightly inaccurate".
"What do you mean?I can't become whole?",Xiek asked.
"I did not say you can not become whole again, however I am saying you can not merge with your heartless",Yen Sid replied.
"Then tell me, how will I become whole again?",Xiek asked.
"The same way Ansem and Xemnas did.They were destroyed",the old man answered.
"D..destroyed!?",Xiek replied, shocked.
"Yes, that is the only way Kei can come back".
"But, how come?", Xiek asked.
"When a heartless is destroyed it's heart goes to rest in Kingdom Hearts where it remains safe. The heart waits for it's body which it acquires once the Nobody is destroyed. Both merge back to become the person whom they were before", Yen Sid explained.
"Isn't there any other way?",Xiek asked.
Yen Sid shook his head and said,"No, I am sorry".
Xiek sighed and asked "Well, can you tell me where i can find Ike?"

"According to the stars he has appeared in Radiant Garden several times. Many of Maleficent's remaining heartless take shelter on the outskirts of Radiant Garden and now obey Ike as their leader since he himself is a heartless and a very powerful one"

"Alright I'll do that, but a thought has just occurred to me You have plenty of experience and are probably even a powerful magician so how come you won't stop him?",Xiek asked.
"You are correct I may have plenty of experience, but I'm afraid Xehanort's abilities are something even I have little knowledge of. Never have I seen any one summon Kingdom Hearts into any world they desire except for Xehanort and that is just one of the many things he can do. That is why you must weaken Xehanort's forces so that Sora and his friends would have less trouble fighting him. If his abilities were nothing out of the ordinary I would certainly have attempted to stop him long before now".
"So what makes you think Sora and Riku can stop him?"
"Sora possesses a light which might even be stronger than Xehanort and his best friend Riku has the unique ability to control both, the light and the darkness. The power of Twilight",Yen Sid explained.
"I see", Xiek said.

"And when Kei will return he will be the only one besides Xehanort who can control both the heartless and Nobodies, so in case Sora and his friends fail Kei would be the only hope left against Xehanort. Go now, Sora and Riku should awaken soon and by the time they start their next journey, hopefully you will have performed this task. Good luck, Xiek",Yen Sid finished.
"Thank you...., Master", Xiek replied as he got up and walked towards the door.

The old man smiled, hearing Xiek call him master reminded him of his favourite apprentice-Mickey.

Booya!

I apologize for the extremely long wait, my computer's been out lately so i haven't been able to use the internet much. I'll post chapter 6 soon.

Chapter 6: The Battle

 

 

Xiek exited the tower and stood outside for a while. "I can control the dusks?", he asked himself. he remembered seeing a nobody named Saix summon a few dusks by snapping his fingers. Assuming they would respond to him the same way ,he lifted his right hand and snapped his fingers. Suddenly three dusks appeared in front of him like soldiers waiting for an order.

"Go to Radiant Garden, I want as much info on Ike and his heartless as you can get and try not to get killed",he ordered. The dusks turned around and started wiggling around as they went into the air and entered three small, separate portals. Xiek opened a dark portal and entered it, he was soon standing on top of a sky scraper in the realm of darkness. At the bottom thousands of nobodies had gathered and were looking at him like he was there to give a speech.

"As nobodies you all desire existence. Not only that, but a heart and emotions and most importantly the chance to go back to your normal selves. Well then those desires can finally be fulfilled. Thousands of heartless still live in Radiant Garden, we are going to fight them. I will not answer why. Attack at my command only", Xiek informed them and walked backwards into a dark portal he had just opened.

Xiek appeared in a small street in Radiant Garden, a few homes were still abandoned and damaged, but most of the area had been repaired. A voice came,"So, you're back?".

"I've got something to take care of, Leon", Xiek replied as he turned his head towards the man leaning against a wall.

"What, more heartless?", Leon asked.

"More than you think", Xiek replied.

"I'm guessing you're here to fight Ike", Leon said smiling.

"Yeah, I am. How come you didn't fight him?", Xiek asked. Leon lifted his arm, it had a few scars and burn marks. "Oh never mind", Xiek said.

Suddenly a voice came from a small radio on Leon's pocket,"Leon it's me Yuffie, a large number of heartless are attacking again, Naomi's already gone to fight them, but I don't think we can handle it alone".

"I'm on my way", Leon spoke into the radio and ran.

"Naomi? What's she doing here?", Xiek asked himself and ran after Leon.

They reached a place just outside the walls where Naomi and Yuffie were busy fighting the heartless. There were very few heartless left, Naomi seemed to be fighting very well, but got distracted when she saw Xiek. Two heartless were coming at her from behind. "Look out!", Xiek yelled as he threw his keyblade at one of them. It cut through one of them while the other immediately stopped and looked at Xiek like it was stupid to throw his keyblade like that and didn't notice the keyblade come back and hit it as well. Xiek grabbed his keyblade. "What are you doing here?", Naomi asked Xiek as though she expected him to have faded away by then.

"I'd like to ask you the same thing",Xiek replied,"how did you even get here anyways?". She pulled something blue out of her pocket. It was a star shard. Xiek was about to ask her how she got that, but then Leon and Yuffie's radios started speaking,"Guys, it's Cid I've just tracked a few heartless attacking the castle and a large army of them is heading towards you guys. Think you'll be able to take' em?".

"An army!? How are we going to fight that?Oh, Where's Sora when you need him?", Yuffie panicked.

We're not fighting the army",Leon said,"We're going to go protect the castle, Xiek's going to take care of the army aren't you Xiek?"

"Well of course that's why I came here", Xiek replied.

"Oh come on Xiek, even you can't fight an army all alone",Yuffie protested.

"Yeah there could be more than a thousand of them",Naomi informed.

"Who said I was going alone?", Xiek said as he snapped his fingers and thousands of Dusks appeared on the blue hills around them along with five Twilight thorns.

"You control the Nobodies!?",Leon asked in surprise.

"I control these guys, but no the others",Xiek replied.Suddenly Leon's radio spoke again,"Yeah that's real nice, but can somebody get to the castle!!".

"Oh sorry.We're coming",Leon replied and left along with Yuffie.

"You're going to fight Ike aren't you?", Naomi asked.

"Yeah".

"Then I'll fight with you".

"No, go with Leon and the others. I have to fight him alone".

"Be careful, Xiek", Naomi said and left.

She had almost reached the crystal fissure when two large heartless appeared in front of her. Both were levitating. One of them had long orange hair on his head and arms and was covered with orange flames. Two fierce looking silver and red disks were circling it and there was a heartless sign on it's chest. The other one had blue hair on it's head and arms and was covered with blue flames. It held large, heavy weapon that could inflict serious damage and also had a heartless sign on it's chest.

Just then thousands of different heartless began appearing not far from the nobodies. Xiek whispered,"Begin the assault", and snapped his fingers. All the nobodies began running towards the heartless army while Xiek went to help Naomi.

Hey here's chapter 7. I hope you guys like it. just like ch4 it has links to what music i think would best suit the paragraph below them. Read and comment ^^.

 

Chapter 7: The Unexpected

 

After a rather long and difficult fight both Naomi and Xiek managed to defeat the two heartless. They stood watching as the two heartless wiggled like they were about to explode. Their bodies burst into dark flames, but unlike they usually do the hearts did not come out and go into the air.

The dark flames faded and in their places were two hearts floating less than five feet above the ground. Several small fragments of light and dark came out of no where and began covering the hearts forming two bodies floating in the air. Both bodies fell to the ground. Xiek and Naomi took a better look. One of them had spiky orange hair that matched his orange jacket and brown jeans. The other had long blue hair that matched his blue shirt and white jeans. He also had, as Xiek noticed, a scar on his face in the shape of an 'X'. A memory suddenly flashed into Xiek's mind.

He was standing near some shops in Radiant Garden talking to the same guys. The one with the orange hair and green eyes spoke," I want everyone I meet to remember me".

"Seriously how many times are you going to say the same line Lea?", said the man with blue hair.

Xiek opened his eyes."Are you okay?",Naomi asked.

"Yeah ,help me lean them against that hilll", he said looking towards a nearby hill. They dragged both the men and leaned them against the wall. Xiek looked towards the battle that was raging on, neither side had seemed to make progress.

"So are these guys friends of yours?", Naomi asked.

"They're Kei's friends", he replied." You should go to the castle, I've got a battle to fight".

"We've got a battle to fight",Naomi replied.

"What? No you can't-", he was too late, Naomi had already run off into the battle. Xiek ran after her. Naomi was cutting through rows of heartless and soon disappeared. Xiek would probably have to kill several heartless before he could find Naomi. She certainly underestimated the dangers of a battle like this one.

With the help of the nobodies under his command he fought the battle and killed hundreds of heartless, but there were still many more. However, he was now closer to the castle and was getting closer as he tore through several heartless. The battle was still far from over as there were a lot more heartless left. Xiek kept fighting until he had slayed at least two thousand heartless and had finally reached the castle with only a hundred nobodies left. All the twilight thorns were destroyed and so were several other nobodies. Ike had trained these heartless very well, but now there were less than hundred left. Xiek ran into the castle while the nobodies remained outside and fought the remaining heartless.

Xiek ran up the stairs eliminating some of the heartless who attempted to stop him while avoiding the rest. They were all slightly weakened when Xiek fought them and that proved to him that Naomi had already made it into the castle and there was a big chance she had gone after Ike. Xiek ran up the stairs faster knowing that a heartless would never let Naomi walk out of this castle unharmed. At the bottom of the staircase a very small group of nobodies barged through the door and began fighting the remaining heartless. The battle had gone exactly as Xiek wanted it to,with both sides being entirely finished.

Xiek reached the end of the stairs at an opening where there was probably a door not long ago and went inside, he could here the sounds of some metals hitting each other. He reached the place where Ike and Naomi were fighting just in time to see a ray of darkness shoot through Naomi's heart. "Naomi!", Xiek yelled as she fell to the ground. Ike stood not far from Naomi. He looked exactly like Xiek, except his eyes were golden and his keyblade looked like a merged version of Xiek's keyblades. He wore a white finger less glove on his left hand, grey bermudas and a white half sleeves shirt with a black hood. He lowered his keyblade as Xiek rushed to Naomi. Her pupils were not visible, making her brown eyes look empty and expressionless. Xiek got up, ran towards Ike and slashed at him with his keyblades, but Ike blocked every hit and jumped several steps away from Xiek.

Out of the corner of his eye Xiek saw something coming at him. He immediately blocked it with his keyblade , but was shocked to see the attacker. Holding black two sided spear just like Naomi's was a girl with dark orange hair, golden eyes and a darkness suit and looked like Naomi. He attempted to hit her, but she blocked it and jumped several feet away.

" Xiek, meet Naoko", Ike said in a evil, yet amused voice. Xiek did not expect this. He knew Ike would be difficult to fight, but now he had to fight both Ike and an evil version of Naomi.

He threw off his cloak and stood in his normal clothes, both his keyblades in hand ready for a fight he might not win. He decided to attack the dark Naomi first so he would not have any distractions during his fight with Ike.

He swung his keyblade at Naoko who blocked it with one side of her spear and attempted to hit him it's other side , but Xiek blocked it with his other keyblade and immediately kicked Naoko on the leg causing her to fall on her knee. Xiek immediately turned around and blocked Ike's attack with both his keyblades and pushed him away. At the same time Xiek turned towards Naoko, who had barely even gotten up before being kicked by Xiek and thrown several feet away.He deflected a ball of fire that Ike shot from his keyblade and began shooting silver stars from one of his keyblades. Ike ran at him deflecting the silver stars and swung his keyblade at Xiek who blocked it and swung his other keyblade at Ike, but Ike dodged it and kicked Xiek in the chest. Xiek immediately got up, but Naoko shot a ball of dark fire at him which sent him flying into a wall. Ike chuckled,"Finish him",he said to Naoko who was walking towards Xiek as he struggled to get back up. Just then a few of the nobodies who had survived the battle barged in through the floor and began attacking Ike. Although he was too strong for them, they bought Xiek enough time to get up and fight Naoko.

Surprisingly he did not have to as a strange light suddenly moved diagonally across Naoko and she looked shocked.Naoko fell to the floor and began fading into dark flames. Standing behind her was Naomi looking extremely weak and worn out. She had disconnected the two swords that she used to make her two sided spear and held both swords in each hand. She dropped her swords and fell to the floor unconscious. Xiek was about to rush to her when he heard Ike yell. Xiek turned to see Ike destroy the last of the nobodies.

Now it was just him and Xiek.
