the world isn't shallow

just because some people are doesn't mean everyone is

:U

also yeah I'm just like a little 'Why is -random person 1- with -random person 2-? THEY DON'T LOOK RIGHT TOGETHER' but then I get over it

Okay how about this...society is shallow, basiacally the same thing, but we go off of appearance as a society, and every society does it...therefore, the world is shallow...wait, we're back where we started, huh...

lol, sorry, I was messing with you, I know where you're comming from, agree with you, but still want my point to get across, not everybody is shallow, just most people are, and everyone is in someway, you could call me shallow for my utter hatred of Canadians and Freshman, I'd have to agree. I'm just trying to say, the World in general is shallow, but not everyone in the world is Shallow from the world's point of view...still following  ...cause I just lost myself :( ...wait :)...there it is :D ...lost it again http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-cry.png...

True love transcends beyond beauty.

These words sound heavenly.

Wow. Some people have ways, I guess... JUST LIKE MANSE- XEMNAS! xD

Oh man. I remember with my last boyfriend, if we were holding hands in public or something people would stare at me like I'm the scum of the Earth xD I guess in their heads a cute girl couldn't possibly fall in love with a disabled person for altruistic reasons. How absurd! No, she must be a whore taking advantage of him! Ah, I miss those days ^^

first of all no one is 'ugly'.

everyone is beautiful on the outside in their own way.

even then it doesn't matter. all that matters is on the inside.

all that matters if you love the person you know. all that matters is if you love every moment being with that person.

so its rude to call someone you don't even know ugly. for all you know, she could be one of the most nicest girl in the world.

for all we know, she could have been in some kind of accident that made her look that way.

that guy loves her for who she is, and doesn't care what she looks like.

and i bet that girl is really pretty.

I don't think it's always about shallowness, I think it's also a preference and lifestyle.

For example: I'm 5'2" and 105 pounds. I'm fit and healthy and I like to keep myself so not only for physical appearance but because it's healthier. My family has a history of diabetes, heart disease and clogged arteries (resulting in heart attacks, strokes, diabetic coma's and triple bypass surgery). I DO NOT want to end up with any of those, so I'm active, eat pretty healthy, stay fit.. all that good stuff.

I prefer a man to be the same way. Since I'm active, do a lot of things, and keep myself more on the fit side, I would want a man with the same lifestyle. As much as I LOVE to play video games, eat junk food and be lazy.. I can't do that 24/7 because that's my lifestyle, so I'd need a man that could keep up with me.

I have nothing against bigger people or "ugly" people or whatever other names people call human beings, but I would definitely prefer someone more like me. It's all in your preference, lifestyle and personality.

If someone goes out with someone JUST for looks, then THAT would be a shallow a-hole. That's not right.

And as Oishii said, I've had people ask "Why are you with him?" because some people thought the guy I was with for 5 years wasn't "good enough" for me and I was "better" and "too pretty" for him. 1) He was gorgeous, 2) He was "different" (meaning he dressed more rocker. not goth, but rocker with band shirts, jeans and studded belts and had long hair, really skinny, lip ring like me and tat's) but because people are shallow or hate anything different, I got mocked for it a lot. It's so ignorant.

I guess he sees the beauty on the inside.

There is beauty on the inside too?

I don't think it's always about shallowness, I think it's also a preference and lifestyle.

HI CAN I LOVE YOUR WHOLE POST

I mean not everyone has the same definition of beauty.

I think my girlfriend is gorgeous and wonderful and beautiful, but not everyone will think the same way as I do.

Exactly, however, I'm sure she is beautiful and wonderful. You're beautiful as well.

But not everyone likes the same things, same looks or same style or have the same lifestyle. It's what makes us individuals. I don't, and never will, condone going "ewww! OMG! did you see that?!" because that's just rude (even though I think we've all done that at some point. I know I have and feel awful for it now, but I've grown up you know?) and like someone else mentioned.. maybe that person was burned? Accident? Birth defect? You can seriously hurt someone's feelings by saying such negative things.

I have one friends who is gorgeous. Inside and out. She was in a bad car accident as a child and now her chin is kind of lopsided and has a "dent" in it and some people who don't know her think she has something wrong with her or whatever. She doesn't. She's extremely intelligent and an amazing, funny, beautiful, thoughtful, loyal woman. She works at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) and she's so much fun. Dances, concerts, parties, she's always there for you when you need her.. Just a great person. I hate to know people judge her. It makes me so angry, however, she's always had boyfriends. She was never single. This is the first time she has been in years (because she's too busy with work and all), so those guys obviously saw HER as her and not just the accident scars on her face. Her family and friends also see her for who she is and also see how physically beautiful she is as well. That's all that matters. She knows she isn't going to be EVERYONE'S type, and she accepts that. Just like how I know I'm not everyone's type and I accept that. That's something everyone should accept. You're not going to be everyone's type. It stings when you find out, but life goes on.

Just live your life and whoever fits your lifestyle, personality and preference will come along.

You guys do know..This is a joke right?

You have to specify that you're joking or half the people who read it know it's a joke and half think it's real and then there's a huge thread full of the confusion of people arguing over 2 totally different subjects. Never mind, not specifying that it's a joke makes it even more funny.
