Hey guys. Today I bring you one more essay :)

I did this one last month. Hope you enjoy it :)Remember : I translated it from Portuguese!

Post your opinions below, please :P
Also, I'm not 100% sure if Libertinism is the right word for this :3 I've been searching and got a lot of results, so if you know one that would better fit in, please tell :)

What is Freedom?

Freedom is a word that has countless meanings, which only exist because each person has a way to understand it. Although there is a correct meaning, which is in the dictionary, it’s possible to notice that this word gains a lot of other meanings, thanks to the different opinions between the humans.

The commonest meaning is the one which says that everyone is allowed to do what they want, when they want, and if they want. There are, however, some people who follow this by-the-book, without first think about the possible consequences that their act can have. It is important to underscore that we need to have responsibility when using liberty, because if not, then the right word is libertinism, and not liberty.

Libertinism is the abuse or bad use of liberty. Generally, it is practiced by adolescents, who are too young to be considered adults, and have already passed through childhood. However, it is important to say that this is not practiced by the unanimity, but by the majority. The adolescents have different ways of facing the situations that appear during this part of their life. Some are able to act correctly, whereas a big part end up going to the wrong road, and eventually, lose themselves.

Once we are in the next phase of life, the adulthood, things change considerably. While in the adolescence, there were people who kept telling what was right, and what was wrong, in the adulthood, this no longer exists. The adults are able to do what they want, because they have the free will. However, the entire responsibility will fall over them, and not on their mothers, grandmothers, or anyone who was responsible for them. So, it's important to say that in this phase, it's crucial to think a thousand times before acting.

Despite that, it's fundamental to remember that everything depends on your decisions, and that with free will, you can do anything you want. However, there is a big contradiction in people's lives. As childs, what they want the most is to be free to hang out, meet their friends, and as adults, some times, they miss having someone to tell them what is right and what is wrong. Life is made of choices, which can only be made through freedom, and those, certainly, will have results. Whether they will be positive or negative, it is only up to you. Again, it's necessary to think before doing anything.

Very true brother! Very good piece of work! :)
Also, liberatism fits alright but, if you want another word you can try tyranny which means arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power or despotic abuse of authority. It also means severity and/or harshness. =)

I liked it, libertinism seems to work. Especially since I can't come up with anything better. And I learned a new word today.
