Who do you think will win the mark of mastery?

I just think it's how he deals, you know? Kind of like how Snow in FFXIII made a joke of everything because he was so full of turmoil; it was the only way he could get through it all.
However, there are definitely some reasons Sora might not pass. I really hope he does though. It'd make taking the MoM seem mighty pointless.
Anyway, he might not pass because he needs to put the worlds' needs above his own. He needs to focus on the Heartless and not tournaments, for example.
Also, I feel Nomura might decide for fans to truly relate to Sora, he should stay a simple wielder. Nomura always says he wants people to look at Sora, and think they too can do great things if they try. That might be difficult if Sora's a Master. Besides, then he'd have no excuse to revert Sora to lvl 1. LOL. And maybe he'd like to show Master's not all it's cracked up to be.
And so far, it seems the people expecting to pass don't make it (like Terra). And those that don't do (like Mickey and Aqua). It could be the shocking ending.
Like many have said, maybe someone will interfere. Maybe they'll temper the Darkness in Sora's heart. Maybe Roxas, Xion, Ven, and Vanitas might effect him.
Anyway, there are reasons Sora might fail, but I personally want both Sora and Riku to pass.

Just because Riku uses Darkness doesn't mean he'll automatically lose. Yen Sid isn't racist against the Darkness like Eraqus was. Besides, all they really need to do to pass is make it out of the Dream World.Riku has darkness in his heart so he aint passing just like terra but he will get out of the dream world. Sora will pass
And as Rob said, it's not a competition, it's a test.

It's a term I use. Another way to say it would be that he's not prejudiced against it. Eraqus abhored the Darkness because he didn't understand it. He thougth it was only evil. Yen Sid understands better, and knows that Riku has control over his Darkness, unlike Terra.
True that, tulupe dupe!(<- ignore that, just...idk) Though I thought Riku now uses Darkness and Light. And Sora from the Heart. I think anyways.

My question is, as I am pretty sure they will be granted title of master if not in this game eventually, will Sora and Riku take on apprentices?

I really think that what will happen is some how the two will get into it deep and need to help eachother out, and both win the mark of mastery. I dont think its going to be granted to one and not the other, they are too important to the story and this is what will help them move forward.

I doubt they will, unless other people get the Keyblade later on.

Well why not? Would make the story more interesting would it not? A re-building of the Keyblade order?

Yea and maybe a break from Sora.
Nomura said Sora will always be the main character, even in the following Saga's.

Hmmm......hopefully this exam teaches Sora to not be so cocky, and for Riku to have the right amount of faith in himself. Both of them have an extreme case of one or the other atm. I'm rooting for them though! ;w; <3
