For me he saw Xion as Xion, mainly because he fought his own replica, Repliku, so he could see her real form.

And Sora sees her as Xion as well, since she's his replica.

I think he sees her as Xion, she resembles Kairi to Axel and Roxas because both have come in contact with Sora's memories becuase of his interactions at Castle Oblivion/being his nobody. Riku because he actually knows Kairi.

the one time we actually saw Xion from someone elses point of view it was Xigbar and he saw Ven, we also never see Xemnas's view of her

So that might explain why we see her that way with Riku, Axel, Roxas, Namine and why others see her with a blank face and a hood if they have never met Sora.

I think he saw Kairi, and he wore the blindfold to try to fool his eyes from the darkness he was about to use.
And something about that gif gives me the chills.

He sees sora because she is a puppet of sora and later on in the game he sees her as black haired kairi because she is her own person then. As fOr the blindfold, I think because he lifted it for a small amount of time nothing happened. And also he didn't take it fully off so I think thats another reason : )

I always thought the whole eyes couldn't lie thing was that even though riku still looked like riku, he covered his eyes do that they wouldn't lie to him that there wasn't anything wrong. That he still had control over the darkness when really he was losing to it.

That report was written by Axel. Axel saw Xion as Namine. No mention of Riku.

Also I said this in another thread on this topic. In the manga* Riku saw Xion as Xion and was surprised at how much she looked like Kairi and, knowing Kairi was a Princess of Heart and therefore incapable of producing a Nobody**, knew Xion couldn't be hers.

*I know they're not cannon, but in the event that there's no canon answer I think its okay to use other official media as the canon.

**At this time Riku didn't know Namine was Kairi's Nobody, nor was he aware of the unique nature of her origin.
