I don't see a resemblence whatsoever. But if you're talking about the face than I can see why you would think kairi looks like Aqua. But Kairi looks nothing like Aqua except for the eyes.

All the main characters in KH have blue eyes(except Riku), and Aqua and Kairi have similar, yet not the same type of hair style(which isn't weird in the world we live in).

Well to me, Terra and Riku look similar. As do Ventus and Sora. Just my opinion. But Aqua and Kairi do look similar to me as well.

She probably thought Aqua was strong and cool after she saved her and thought "I wanna be just like her when I grow up" so she styled her hair the same.

It's cause Nomura can only make 6 styles of faces...
To me they look alike minus the hair color and age but in a few years Kairi will proably look likea red haired Aqua.
