Okay to start things off, Tetsuya Nomura already confirmed in the latest Famitsu interview that there will indeed be two new party members alongside Sora during Dream Drop Distance. The two new characters most likely will be original KH characters. Honestly, we haven't heard the slightest clue about these "new" character.

It is very likely that these new characters will also be taking the Mark of Mastery exams to become true Keyblade Masters. Maybe it's even possible these new guys were sent to Master Yen Sid from other worlds. Maybe they are chosen keyblade wielders like Sora and Riku. Who knows? Nomura said the plot will be very confusing and difficult to understand so at this point, anything is possible.

Now, the first canidtae for these new characters would be the Mysterious Figure. Nobody knows who the MF is. He could be MX's right hand man, or MX could just be using him just like Vanitas ( I know you guys disagree but it's just a possibility that this may happen). As for the other character, I'm not sure who he could be.

Anyway guys share your thoughts about who you think these new party members will be. Right now we know so little about this game so the most we could do is speculate.

I would like to think that maybe the 2 XXX's are Final Fantasy characters or KH characters from the past.

There not final Fantasy characters. They wouldn't put any Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts and call them "new".

He means that the two new party members we haven't seen before are Final Fantasy characters that have not made an appearance within the Kingdom Hearts series, someone like Zidane from Final Fantasy IX.

I'm not very fond of the idea that they're keyblade wielders. The MoM is only a small part of the game, so to have them as party members throughout the game doesn't seem likely they are MoM canidates. They don't need to be keyblade wielders either. Donald and Goofy were always great party members with what weapons they had.

That said, I don't want to make much calls on this until we know more (hopefully by TGS). We don't even know what this dream like world Sora gets into will be. Perhaps the party members only exist in this realm.

Which I agree, but we shouldn't rule out the possibilities, due to the fact that the real Traverse Town consisted of people, containing Disney, Final Fantasy, and Original Characters, went to when the Heartless destroyed their homes. One of them may be Final Fantasy, but surely not both are.

However, I definitely would like to see some actual new Original Characters (ex. Ansem, Xehanort, Kairi), WITH new character developments and personalities, since Nomura keeps reusing them.

But I'm going to say no new Keyblade Wielders. Not that I don't like that idea, I wouldn't mind seeing them especially since it goes along with the whole Mark of Mastery theme, but it defeats the purpous of Sora and Riku attempting to become Masters. Hypothetically, what if these two are also trying to become Masters? Sure, friendly competition (or competitive, depending if these guys are bad and just using Sora/Riku), but isn't there already that sort of thing when you place Sora and Riku together, in a test? Sora definitely needs to be a Master (though he may not become one, but it is needed), but Riku needs that title as well. The game is about trust, and Sora and Riku will have to work together at some points, as Nomura said in his interview. But with their differences, there's gonna be at times a form of competitiveness. If you place any pair of Keyblade Wielders in the test, regardless of what their purpous is, that ruins that momentum of competitive between Sora and Riku, because now these two have to deal with them as well. It may make the game confusing, which seems to be slightly good, I just don't like adding Keyblade Wielders into this mix.

Now if they are disguised Keyblade Wielders that are really, for example, Ansem SoD and Xemnas, that would provide more of a better twist and make it much more interesting, in my opinion of course.

i think there new keyblade wielders somthing like ven. so there not going to be ready to be master idk if this is what he sais but i thought he mentioned they would be in kh 3 to so maybe after kh3 they will end up being sora's aprantice's if sora wins the m o m. do they both get to be masters? i mean sora and riku or just one?????_?

geezus buddy, for someone opening a thread for speculation you sure like to shoot down other people's ideas. just cause you dont think thats what would happen (im not saying i do either before you attack me) doesnt mean it couldnt. thats exactly what speculation is.

I dont think new it will be keyblade wielders. Also hoping its not.
They will have to create a whole character along with a story for them.
And damn more keybladers could mean more spinoffs

If there are going to be 2 new characters along with Sora, is Rik going to get new party members too. I think Sora should keep Donald and Goofy, and Riku should get new people
