The game itself is going to be using its own engine, this only proves that the TRAILER was made using the BBS engine. This is all interesting but I don't get what it means. Like, is it still in development with the same engine as bbs, just in 3d, or is the actual game being made with its own 3d engine?
The gameplay videos tough, were most likely done in a 3ds. :3

The replacements were entirely Key to Truths doing. He does this sort of thing a lotWay too iteresting. I mean that means that they were already planning to make 3D near the end of developing for BBS. Also there are some hints in the way that they were put. I mean TVA replaced each by SRK and more interesting the Vanitas that came from MX was VANITAS LINGERING SPIRIT!! What could that mean?? It's kind of scary and confusing but WAY TOO INTERESTING!!!
Congrats for the finding!!
DDD could have run on the PSP, yes. I could also have run on the Nintendo 64, or the NES. The 3DS is superior to the PSP, and DDD will almost definitely make use of it. For example, it doesn't so much matter what models are present in KH, what's really important is the lighting, which is what makes them look good. the 3DS can do lighting better than a PSP. Even if the GRAPHICS aren't upgraded for the 3DS, there are many other features only the 3DS offers. What if DDD needs a touchscreen? What if it actually has a good use of the 3D effect? Even beyond that, I'm happy having KH on the 3DS simply for the fact that its cartridges hold drastically more data than a UMD, so DDD can have more content/voice acting. This proves that DDD could've been ran on a psp. But SE just switch the console for more money.. And one of those animations where Sora is jumping is from last year at that Nintendo World thing, where Sora attacks the Twilight Thorn.
Also, I'd like to point out that Square Enix switching systems doesn't make them mroe money. They don't get any profits for the systems getting sold. Square makes the same money no matter what they do (Obviously depending on which console, and how many consoles, Square develops a single game for will cause variation in their profits, but you know what I mean) In fact, Square probably loses money every time they change consoles because they have to train their staff in how to work with the new system.

Every game has an engine. This engine determines pretty much everything about the game, and is basically a blueprint of how the game is made. A while back some data pertaining to DDD was found in BBS final mixes disk. Later, models of Sora and Riku, among others, were found. Key to Truth has proven that these models were intended to be used to recreate the DDD trailer using the ingame graphics of BBS. Basically, he proved a few things: DDD was at some point going to be advertised in BBS, and DDD (Or at least its trailer) could run on a PSPi dont get what this means? i have seen this everywhere but idnt understand what 'it has the BBS engine' and all the other stuff means...( ikno i probably sound dumb) lol
but can someone plz explain to me wat this means? i wuld really appreciate it http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoti... thx!!

This is awesome. Well at least we all know Kh 3D will run under a good engine with respectable graphics, unlike Days and Re:coded.
Days and Re:Coded had great graphics for a DS.

I get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XEHANORT IS GOING TO WANT TO DESTROY SORA(VEN) BECAUSE HE IS THE XEYBLADE SO SORA WANT'S TO BE DESTROYED!!!! KAIRI=AQUA AND TERRA=RIKU.....SO THAT MEANS IF WE COULD PLAY AQUA IN THE GAME WE CAN PLAY KAIRI TOO!!! (THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHE IS GOING TO WIN THE MARK OF MASTERY)SO MAYBE THEY KINDA GO BACK IN TIME TO SAVE VAT.....(VEN,AQUA,TERRA)AND THE FINAL WORLD IS GOING TO BE THE KEYBLADE GREYVYARD!!!! (THIS IS JUST A THEORY SO DON'T LEAVE COMMENTS BELOW SAYING:IT'S NOT THIS IT'S NOT THAT AND BLAH BLAH BLAH...

I guess so, but Dream Drop Distance is expected to have BBS graphics.

Well, just so you know, you can expect PS2 quality graphics from DDD, since the 3DS is more powerful than a PSP, though I'm not sure if it's QUITE as powerful as a PS2.

Yeah I really doubt it. I mean it's possible but, no.

Not unlikely at all. Square loves reusing PS2 stuff, why bother making new low poly models when they have an existing bank of higher quality ones? Besides, Square loves to show off, they're not going to half ass it.

Yes, the 3DS is more powerful then the PSP. Expect the 3DS to have many more animations, more detailed areas and characters, short loadings, and more. With Resident Evil recently released, you can see that you can pull off 360 looking graphics with the 3DS with a few tricks.
The model for Sora is probably going to be the same one from the PS2. Although, I'm expecting them to polish up the model so it looks more tuned up.

Yes, but Traverse Town wasn't in Birth by Sleep. Did they recreate Traverse Town in BbS just for the trailer? Hmm

If the trailer HAD appeared on the PSP then yes, they may have created Traverse Town. In fact, that might be the reason that it DIDN'T appear, because they didn't want to bother adding it (Or they didn't have enough space)
The 3DS is powerful, the reason you're seeing '360-like' graphics is the lighting, which is very up to date on the 3DS. Square uses lighting tricks extensively to make their graphics appear better than they are, so the 3DS' capabilities are encouraging.
I'm not sure, I have no way of telling right now, but I think the Sora and Riku models are downgraded versions of the PS2 models. That's simply speculation based on the fact that the PSP can't handle models quite as smooth as the ones on the PS2. The models for Sora HAS been polished, though it's difficult to tell. Watch the trailer and look at Sora's sleeves (In his KH1 form) they are rounder than they are normally.
So, while I'm only expecting PS2 quality graphics here, we could get the most graphically complex KH to date if Square puts the time in.
