DChiuch 5,773 Posted May 13, 2011 So, you've decided you want to write or fix up a page for KH13. This guide aims to explain the guidelines and conventions you should follow when you write articles. 1. Pages & sections to include 1.1 Games pages The games pages refer to all of the pages in http://kh13.com/games/ . The sections and descriptions of those sections for these pages are below. Please note that some pages will be missing sections, this is because they have not yet been written. Information - Give a brief overview of the game, including details regarding console, release date, and chronology. Story - Describe the plot of this game in-depth. Gameplay - Describe each gameplay aspect of this game in-depth. Development - Explain what is known about the development of the game, including official statements about the development, events the game was shown at, etc. [Re-release of game] - This section deals with games that are re-released, such as KH and KHFM, or coded and Re:coded. The section describes everything to do with that game; in that sense it is like a page within a page. Covers - All official game covers are shown. Characters - A list of the most major characters in the game. Worlds - A list of worlds that appear in the game. External Links - Links to official websites about the game. 1.2 Character pages The characters pages refer to all of the pages in http://kh13.com/characters/ . The sections and descriptions of those sections for these pages are below. Please note that some pages will be missing sections, this is because they have not yet been written. Information - Give a brief overview of the character, including the games that the character appears in, their origin, and a short summary of their involvement in the story. Description - Describe details of the character that do not relate to the plot, for example appearance, personality and behaviour. Story - Describe the plot of this character in-depth. Subheadings should be used to split up the story into respective games. Worlds - Give a list of worlds that the character has visited. 1.3 Worlds pages The worlds pages refer to all of the pages in http://kh13.com/worlds/ . The sections and descriptions of those sections for these pages are below. Please note that some pages will be missing sections, this is because they have not yet been written. Information - Give a brief overview of the world, including the games that the world appears in, its origin, and perhaps a brief mention of the significance of that world to the story. Description - Describe details of the world that do not relate to the plot, for example structure, appearance and special features. Story - Describe the plot of this world in-depth. Subheadings should be used to split up the story into respective games. Characters - Give a list of characters that make an appearance in the world. 2. Writing conventions 2.1 Bolding the first mention of the page name When the name of the page is first mentioned, usually in the first sentence, this particular occurrence of the name must be bolded. Subsequent mentions, however, are not bolded. For example, "Deep Jungle is a world blah. Deep Jungle blah blah." However, when the page has an alternate name, and this name is mentioned for the first time, it must also be bolded; for example "Hollow Bastion, also known as Radiant Garden". However, please note that Japanese text is never bolded. The bolding rule also extends to subpages, that is, sections like "Re:coded" that occur within the coded page. Here, "Re:coded" would be bolded. 2.2 Linking to pages When you first mention something, whether it be a game, character, world, or something else from the series that has a page on our website, you must link to that page. Please note that you only do this the first time, all following occurrences should not be linked. If two different iterations are mentioned that share a page, you link both. For example, if both coded and Re:coded are mentioned, you link to both pages (the first time they are mentioned). As an exception, in a list (such as a list of worlds), you link to all of these worlds, even if that page has been linked to before. Another rule is that if you have a phrase like "Sora's something", and you haven't linked to Sora yet, you would link the "Sora's something" part only. To get the link of a page, simply find it on our site and copy it from the URL bar. You might not be aware of the following links, but you should use them when appropriate. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix - http://kh13.com/games/khfm/ Re:Chain of Memories - http://kh13.com/games/recom/ Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix - http://kh13.com/games/kh2fm/ Re:coded - http://kh13.com/games/recoded/ 2.3 Referring to games The first time a game is mentioned, you should use the full name of the game, rather than a shortened version. These names are below for your convenience. Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories Kingdom Hearts II Kingdom Hearts coded Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Kingdom Hearts III Please make sure you type the game correctly. Just as a reminded, you use the above spellings when you mention it for the first time. For all later mentions on the same page, you use the shortened versions, listed below. Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Chain of Memories Re:Chain of Memories Kingdom Hearts II coded Re:coded 358/2 Days Birth by Sleep Birth by Sleep Final Mix Dream Drop Distance Kingdom Hearts III 2.4 When to use italics Certain things on pages should be in italics. These include the names of games (for example, "Kingdom Hearts" the game should be italics, but if you are talking about the world Kingdom Hearts or the series, it should not), names of albums and names of films. --- Well, that's it for now. Any questions? If not, go out and write some pages!

I think it's just a mistake, isn't? - Give a list of characters that make an appearance in the world. 2. Writing conventions 2.
