I really dont mind it. Its a story plot. I like coded and recoded the same. I understand what your all talking about but if you dont like it, then dont play kh simple as that

Don't get me wrong, I liked it, just not as much as other KH games

i liked the game, but story could been more better created. I think that there should be some worlds from kh2 too. Only interesting world is castle oblivion, because its final world and place of revelations about bbs and days.

i agree with everyone that has said it is not needed. could def have been something extra in BBS. the gameplay was good and i played it with as much gusto as any other KH game, but a whole game (albeit a very short game) for 3 maybe 4 minutes of story? couldve been so much better :/

I completely agree. The game pretty much did the same thing CoM did, rehash KH1 worlds.

Anyway, I thought that as far as combat goes, it was one of my favourites, story wise, not so much, but i thought it was necessary, anyway, the trophies were good, but i didn't collect all of them, mostly because it is impossible to get back to level 15 when you are at level 80+, regardless, I like it better than kh 1 overall, just because the combat is far better,

Wasn't so much a fan of the restrictions of the stat matrix and feeling like I was going through the motions of KH1 with blocks, but I did enjoy the battle system and the last few cutscenes, and also the fact that this was the first time I'd had a chance to run around bits of Castle Oblivion

I loved this game. It's one of my favourites.
And I've played it almost 400 hours. Collected all trophies and avatar parts ^^
Story was cool, but little boring. It could had more cutscenes about Riku and his life for those three days in DI. And some in other worlds.
But why part where Aqua, Terra, Ven and others shows wasn't cutscene?
It would have been so cool

When replaying olympus colisseum watch out for rock titan. It almost owned me today O_O

I personally loved re:coded. Yes, it wasn't full of story as most of it is just Data Sora running around in KH1 worlds. The idea of Data Riku and building onto your character with CPU chips is what makes this game special and brilliant. This is another example how a amazing guy such as Nomura can transform a rehashed version of KH1 (but not entirely) to feel like a brand new game. This is why I love Kingdom Hearts.

Well... In the first time I played Re:coded, I was very excited since I didn't spoil myself [which was pretty hard] but once I had finished the game, I had absolutely no interest on replaying it again... The story wasn't as good as the other KHs... I liked the game, but the story was weak, idk? The gameplay was fun, cause it changed a lot during the game... We can't forget that it was the first KH game where we could change the difficulty during the game... which was pretty awesome... The secret ending leads us to KH3D, which is cool too... At least I think it was fun to entertain us during 2011 while KH3D is still not released xD It's a side game, after all..

Re:coded was good, but I might replay it one day because I did find the gameplay kind of fun.

As for the story, it's like Kingdom Hearts I in a nutshell, so I really didn't like that. Although, I did like the ending and secret ending very much.

The secret ending made me go "WHAT. OH CRAP". Which was the first time in a long while I had said that about what happened in a game, and the ending made me cry because it reminded me of what happened to everybody and the fact that the memories were still there and that it wasn't the last we saw of them.

In the end, only the ending and secret ending of Re:coded really mattered.

when reaching the final part of the game, some great commands that helped me were
Judgement Triad = Wind Tracer + Muscle Strike
Wind tracer = Aeroga + Firaga OR Tornado tracer/Esuna + Aeroga OR Esuna + Aerora
Muscle Strike = Rising Strike/thunder slam/aero slam + Land Crash OR Thundaga + Curaga

I thought that Re:Coded was an okay game. The cutscenes, although there weren't that many, were pretty good. The gameplay was average. But overall, I thought it was a little unnecessary since they could've explained how everyone needed to be "saved" with a long cutscene in Birth By Sleep.

if you look at as a main series game, then yes it is terrible and unnecessary. period. if we take the hardcore goggles off, then it is actually a pretty darn good game tbh.

at least it gave us a cool secret ending.
