why in the trailer i so they are short and they are wearing the clothes for kh1 ?????? it isnt after kingdom hearts 2?

It is after KH2 and will be Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery exam done by Yen Sid. We do not know why they are thier KH1 selves, we can only speculate until it's revealed.

Personally, I think Yen Sid put them to sleep and is manipulating their dreams, making them younger to test them. As well as bringing Ansem SoD and Xemnas back.

I don't know, maybe he puts them in their kh2 uniforms people will think that this is kh3, instead of kh3D. lol

Well think of it this way for Sora. It doesn't look like he'll have any back-up in this game and the only thing the KH2 Clothes are good for is the Drive forms but with out any friends to use to change forms, they're almost useless. The only thing left is that they look cool. Plus if you're in a Drive form and you randomly switch to Riku, will he have the drive form too? NO, Riku never had any ability like that. So to switch between them randomly, they had to change Sora back to what he looked like in KH1. And if they change Sora back they have to change Riku back.

That's my theory as to why.

It's not just their clothes that have changed though. We're not just playing their KH1 clothes, we're playing their KH1 selves. If you take a good look, you'll see that Sora and Riku are younger in 3D than they are in KH2.

I don't see it but it was just a theory man, just a theory. I thought it had a decent amount of merrit, as i don't see how they look younger, the only part where anyone can tell is that cutscene from KH1 when they're talking about the raft. But even then could just be a flash back, like the other two scenes, it could just tie in with the game somehow. I can't really tell from the gameplay footage if they look younger or not, but i'll take your word for it, i'm decently lacking in the vision department.

I just watched the trailer again, i kinda see how they look younger, bbut i'm not sure. If that's the case, i'm baffled.

i know the story people and stuff and that it is after kingdom hearts 2(only the clothes bit) azuure i find interesting and i agree with you and the theory with the sleep amazes me like it alot thank you all for writing..... check my vid while you at it its at my signature..!

I'm surprised no one said this yet. NOMURA SAID THAT THEY ARE IN THEIR KH1 CLOTHES BECAUSE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE STORY!!! Yeesh... I'm not even a big fan of their KH2 outfits anyway...
