In the KH3D trailer, you see Ansem with a see through Xemnas behind him and Xemnas with a see through Ansem behind him. Nomura said that KH3D is about "trust". Ok, my thought is, so Sora can see Xemnas and Riku can see Ansem. Now what if Ansem and Xemnas were just an illusion, and Sora and Riku were fighting each other without knowing it because they think they're fighting Ansem/Xemans, and they would have to figure out that it's not really them.

It's just a thought, and I'm not one that thinks that far ahead about a game, but it reminded me of something from an episode of Street Fighter years ago where Ryu and Ken were fighting a doll but they realized they were fighting each other and it was a trick.

Interesting. Maybe, interesting thought. reminds me of that mission that roxas gets sent in that he fights Xion but thinks it's an orcus. Explains the trust thing, and maybe that's the true test of mastery.

That's a really good theory, but like Kinode mentioned they did that in Days and I don't know if they'd use teh same trick twice or not.

It's the same general idea, but completely different in scope.
one was to eliminate either Roxas for Xion, and was set up by the Organization. If this theory is true, it would imply that it's significant tot the plot, and would be about teaching Sora and Riku trust.
Though I personally don't think so.

It takes place after Coded. It is the Mark of Mastery exam for Sora and Riku.

Reminds me of a recent episode of Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's. It's an interesting concept, and personally, I like the idea ^^

It's probably because the game takes place in a dream, hence the name. Which would also explain why Traverse Town is there and Ansem SoD and Xemnas are back.

I remember this very same thing being said, and I believe the comment that opposed this, was that Sora and Riku are facing the same direction. It is possible, that the world is an illussion altogether and the two will fight, but I doubt it.

Well, I was the 1st to come out with this theory on this site when the trailer 1st came out lol. Also, I think Ansem/Xemnas are an illusion, since I think the Mark of Mastery is in a dream(should have put that in the post).

Interesting idea but I doubt it because Riku can use the smell of Darkness after Re:COM. He diffrentiated Ansem from ANsem SOD.

It's a dream(not confirmed), anything is possible lol, plus with Yen Sid, a wizard, as the conductor of the exam.

I did, but it still doesn't have anything to do with trust. Sora thinks he's fighting Xemnas,but it's Riku.Riku thinks he's fighting Ansem SoD, but it's Sora. That still doesn't mean they have to trust each other.

A ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah sure you where. Before you even made this theory a guy in the forum's thought about it before you. You almost act like you're the first person in the world to start this theory when you could be the last.

I made this thread as soon as the KH3D trailer was leaked. I checked to see if anybody made a thread about this, and they didn't. Unless there is proof that anybody thought about it, well...you know. The guy in the forums could have gotten it from me. Yeah, you thought of this without any video to go with.
