KHIII BIG HERO 6 TRAILER AND RE:CODED CONNECTION

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

Thanks for visiting my post.

It seems that no one else has noticed or cared, but the new trailer contained glimpses of San Fransokyo unde the attack of Heartless such as every world, but I also noticed on the scenes with the BH6 team members that they were fighting something and I happened to recognize such things. If you look closely at the screenshots in this post you'll notice that these things are the BUGS from Re:Coded. So far it seems they are the Red, Silver and new Black and green version of them. So I was thinking... how did these bugs emerged from the Dataspace and why appeared in this world?

Join me to speculate on this matter.

P.S. Sorry if there was already a post I missed.

Zaz! :D

When I first saw this trailer, while I thought for a moment that those cubes looked like Bugs, I thought that they were a new design for the nanobots.  The gameplay section of the trailer seemed to back up my theory because, when Sora attacks a giant Heartless with the Nano Arms Keyblade Transformation, we see the arm he creates explode into black cubes that have glowing parts on them.  However, Sora's nanobots don't have the same design as the cubes we see attacking Big Hero 6 earlier in the trailer.  Plus, as you pointed out, the design is the same as the design of the Bugs (I didn't realize that until you pointed it out, so nice catch!).  So what I think now is that the original Baymax somehow got corrupted by Bugs and is using the Bugs to attack Big Hero 6.  Maybe the Bugs make up his new arm that we saw in the concept art of him attacking Sora and Baymax 2.0.

Yeah at first glance they just look like regular black cubes but in the Wasabi scene it's where I happened to recognize the pattern. After comparing it I realized they were the Blox bugs in Re:Coded. It's interesting to think they're back as the other enemies in some shape or form. As this world uses digital data for science and stuff, maybe the heartless thought they could corrupt these non-heart creatures through bugs like they did with the journal, as you yourself mentioned on the Baymax example. Now I am more hyped!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but for the sake of discussion, why are we assuming the bug blo0s came to the real world? Cant we equally assume we went to the datascape? I mean Toy Box is just the copy of the world so it's possible.

Yeah! This was the other option I was considering as possible but thought it was more plausible for the bugs coming to the real world in order to corrupt non-heart creatures like Baymax as a robot and stuff. On the other hand it might be possible as you said that this part of the story is happening on a digital version of San Fransokyo inside Hiro's computer or something like that, hence why the Blox appeared. So many possibilities and all of them are great!

Huh. I did not notice that, but you might be on to something there. This makes me even more excited for KH3. Now, it could be that the bugs haven't travelled to the real world and that, like others have said here, the Big Hero 6 world is some kind of datascape. Either way, though that's a neat little thing to spot. Well done!

Yes, and data Riku will be there as well.. the new true org member is not xion people already talking about it at other thread...

Also the trailer show us new chess piece (left one) in form of cubes, bugs cube hinting the return of Data Riku.. some people thought it was luxord dice but as you can see his door chamber at kh 2 was presented by card.

Honestly, the appearance of the Bug Blox in San Fransokyo is not a surprise at all for me. Time ago I realized that basically, KH-III would gather elements from all the previous games to give Xehanort's arc an appropiated end. That means gather all the enemies we have fought in previous games: The Heartless, the Nobodies, the Unversed, the Bug Blox... And even the Nighmare Dream Eaters. Therefore, we should still await the appearance of a world where the enemies will be the Nightmare Dream Eaters.

About how it's possible for the Bug Blox to be in the real world, we can't forget that San Fransokyo is a world of a very advanced technology; so it wouldn't be strange this would be beneficial for the Bug Blox. Surely, Donald and Goofy will recognize them, but they will have to explain it to Sora. Besides, the way that the Bug Blox act is very similar to the Nanobots created by Hiro. Besides, with this, we can also get two things:

+ The digital version of Sora's Heartless, who was the Final Boss of Coded, could be one of the new members of the Organization XIII we still haven't see. After all, the New Organization has gathered practically ALL the Final Bosses of the previous games: Master Xehanort, Vanitas, Ansem (Seeker of Darkness), Xenmas, Saix, Xigbar, Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene, Young Xehanort....

+ Data-Sora, the digital Replica of Sora from Coded, could appear in this game too.

Thanks! I did recognize them the first time and I must say it caught me by surprise!

Some are saying that but I don't think it will be the case... too many Riku's in one game xD

It was a surprise for me! I wasn't expecting to see them TBH, less on this particular world, it does make sense though!
