Roleplay The College Chronicles (1x1 with aoi hoshi)

"Riku!" Kairi gasped, eyes wide. He really must have been loose when he was drunk, because he was logical otherwise. She couldn't believe it! Roxas, however, was laughing to himself at Riku's face. If someone as right-minded as Riku did something out of the norm, she wasn't sure what she could possibly do...

"I know, I know," Riku sighed, running a hand through his hair, "It was stupid. Which is why I'm telling these two to watch themselves. I didn't even drink that much either." But apparently he drank enough. Riku grimaced thinking not only of the girl but the headache that followed the next morning.

Roxas calmed his laughter. "Okay, okay.... Fair enough," he agreed. "We'll be careful." He looked to Sora at this, since he was more prone to trouble than Roxas. Then again, if they were together, their chances increased.

"Right," Sora nodded affirmatively, "We'll keep our guards up when we're there." Though Sora was doubtful that any girl would really catch his eye while they were there. Finding someone who even compared to Kairi seemed impossible.

Somehow, Sora's words relieved Kairi. She took one final sip of her drink and looked at her watch. "Okay, well, orientation starts in fifteen minutes. We should probably head that way," she suggested. Orientation would probably take a while, but at least they were hydrated now.

Orientation went by slowly, but eventually Naminé and her friends were ready for Snow's party the next night. Checking her make up in the mirror one last time, Naminé went back into her and Kairi's dorm room to grab her purse; a simple over-the-shoulder canvas bag filled with a few essentials. "Are you ready, Kairi?"

Kairi pulled on her flannel shirt. "Yep!" she said, then glancing at the mirror one more time. Her hair was still down, but she changed her outfit from earlier that day. Now she wore jean shorts, a crop top, and a flannel overshirt. She figured this party wasn't too dressy. "You?"

"Ready as I'll ever be," Naminé said with a light laugh. Like Kairi, she also wore a pair of jean shorts, but instead of a crop top, she wore a white tank top with an accompanying light blue sweater. It reached just past the hem of her shorts. "Shall we?" Naminé gestured to the door.

Kairi nodded and left the room alongside Namine. The guys were already waiting for them just down the hall. "Hey, guys!" she greeted. She was ready for this party! She had been looking forward to it all day!

Roxas looked up from his shoes. Upon seeing the girls, he pushed himself away from the wall. "Hey," he greeted more calmly, though he was a bit distracted. Kairi looked great, as he expected, but his eyes lingered on Namine longer than they probably should have. She looked...amazing.

Sora immediately blushed upon seeing Kairi, his eye drawn to her form a moment too long before the boy caught himself and quickly looked back up. "H-Hey," he stuttered, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He wanted to tell Kairi that she looked beautiful, but the words got caught in his throat.

"You ready to go?" Riku asked, his expression plain upon seeing the two girls. He wouldn't deny that they were both stunning, but any romantic affections he may have had in the past had faded over the past few years. Especially as he noticed the lingering gazes of Sora and Roxas.

Naminé nodded with a small smile. She still wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but she was starting become a little more excited. She drew closer to Roxas without thinking, and their hands briefly brushed, startling the blonde girl.

Kairi was more attentive than she used to be, so Sora's gaze didn't go unnoticed by her. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she too nodded to Riku and started downstairs. She figured Riku knew where to go; his sense of direction was better than most. As they walked, she glanced over at Sora. He looked great, as he usually did. The keyblade had him in good shape, as did puberty. His shoulders were broader, his jaw more defined, his chest and arms sculpted... And his voice made her feel warm.

Roxas looked at Namine when their hands brushed, and he smiled shyly before rubbing the back of his neck. He motioned for Namine to go on ahead as they started toward the party. That touch--however small it was--had his stomach flipping. In a good way.

Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, Naminé smiled warmly at Roxas and walked back up to where Kairi was now. "Thank you." The place where his fingers had been felt hot still but not unpleasant. It was a familiar warmth she could easily drown in. Her eyes, briefly, flickered across his face, which was now much more chiseled than it had been in their teen years. Like Sora, Roxas also benefitted greatly from the trials of puberty.

When they arrived at the house, Sora could already hear a cacophony of music, laughter, and the occasional drunken yell from one of the frat boys. Beer cans already littered the well-manicured lawn. "Looks like the party's already started," he observed, kicking one of the cans across the driveway.

Kairi clasped her hands near her chest and hopped a little in excitment. "Riku, you lead," she requested, looking up at him. He'd been to one of these before. Maybe he knew where to go first? The music was loud, that much was obvious, so they would need to stay close.

"Follow me," Riku said, beckoning the group forward. Going into the house, Riku weaved through a maze of students holding full red solo cups. Some swayed to the music, others merely stood sipping at their beverage as they laughed and flirted with people they likely wouldn't remember come the next morning. Eyes occasionally roved across him as he walked, but Riku kept his eyes forward. When they finally reached the backyard, Riku chuckled and gestured to the outdoor chaos with a small smile. "Welcome to your first party everyone. Enjoy." A scream was heard a few seconds later, coming from a bikini clad girl riding an impromptu slip and slide.

Roxas blinked at the scream and looked to the source. A girl...in a bikini. Well, he wasn't expecting that. "This...is quite the first impression," he acknowledged. He glanced over at Kairi, who didn't pay attention to the slip and slide so much as the amount of people. A loud cheer following the girl's trip filled the backyard.

"Way to go!" the host of the party shouted, clapping his hands. This party was a hit! And why wouldn't it be? He was the one throwing it, of course! Snow and Gadot knew how to throw parties after a few years. And there were always great stories to tell.

At the sound of new and rather booming voice, Naminé looked over. The owner of the voice was a tall, chiseled man with a head of blond hair similar to her own. His blue eyes danced with excitement, and Naminé could practically feel the man's air confidence as he sauntered forward with another loud, hearty clap of his hands. "Who's that?" Naminé whispered to Kairi, "Do you think that's the host?"

"He's gotta be," Kairi said back, keeping her eyes on the man. He looked over and made eye contact with the girls, then winking at them. Kairi blushed instantly, looking away and tucking her hair behind her ear. Well, they just got noticed. College guys were...forward.

Naminé couldn't help but cringe a little as her cheeks lit up with embarrassment. "Ah, that's...not very comforting," Naminé confessed. She avoided avoided eye contact with their host and kept her eyes focused on Roxas's back instead.

"This your party?" Riku asked, moving in front of the two girls with synthetic smile. He never trusted guys like this, especially around girls.

Sensing the building tension in his best friend, Sora stepped forward with an easy smile. He wasn't particularly fond of the man's wandering eye either (and definitely wouldn't tolerate any wandering hands) but didn't want any bad blood less than hour into the party. "It's really cool. Uh, I like the slip and slide. Looks like a lot of fun."

"Thanks! Why don't you take it for a spin?" Snow suggested. He crossed his arms over his chest. "You too, ladies." His smile turned crooked. Freshman... They were easy to spot, but they could be the most fun. Of course, Snow wasn't a total lughead; he could sense these guys were pretty protective.

Kairi shook her head. "No thanks," she said for both herself and Namine. "We didn't bring our suits."

Snow chuckled and gestured to the next girl to go down the slip and slide. "Neither did some of them."

"I think they said they were good," Roxas said, crossing his arms over his chest too. He stepped forward slightly, placing himself more in front of Namine. This guy was...creepy. But was he even drunk? Or was this just how he naturally was?

Sora's smile turned hard as he moved in front of Kairi, mirroring his Nobody's stance. "Right. They're good. We're good." Sora craned his head, so that he could see over the brawny man. "Is there anywhere we can get some food? I'm starved."

Snow lifted an eyebrow and motioned behind them. "In the house," he said. He glanced over the five of them. Well...that escalated quickly. Just trying to encourage some fun, but okay... "Help yourselves." He lifted a hand in a wave and turned, starting toward Gadot and a few of the girls waiting for him.

Kairi stared at Snow's back for a moment and then tsked in disgust. That was ugly, but thankfully people were too busy to notice the small squabble. That would have been embarrassing.

"Riku was right about frat guys," Naminé noted with a roll of her blue eyes, "I hope that was the worst of it."

"Probably not," Riku said pinching the bridge of his nose. His darkness flared for a moment, but the keyblade master quieted his temper quickly. "C'mon, we might as well get something to eat while we're here."

Roxas glared at Snow's back for another moment before relenting. He dropped his arms and turned, placing a hand on Namine's back briefly to get moving toward the house. They would have to stick close together; the place was packed.

Again, the contact left a delightful burn, and Naminé couldn't help but smile a little as she stepped inside the house. The music blared in her ears; a catchy pop song with nonsensical lyrics.

Seeing a spread of food and beverages on the kitchen's island, Sora grabbed Kairi's hand excitedly. "Look! They even have paopu smoothies like on the islands!" The contents likely included alcohol, but Sora reached for one with his free hand, examining the contents with shining eyes. A taste of home.

Kairi glanced at their hands when Sora initiated contact, but she quickly focused on what Sora had in his hand. "Ooh!" she said in awe. Paopu... Like the drawings in the Secret Place. Kairi tried not to let her heart race at the reminder. She and Sora never did talk about that.
