xXMikey1stXx 206 Posted May 3, 2018 With the xehanort saga dealing with the friendship, I honestly do think family would work really well. Especially since god of war ps4 brought it back into gaming spotlight. Tell me what you guy's think. 3 LotrobT, BennyJibCF and Doksap37 reacted to this
PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted May 3, 2018 With the xehanort saga dealing with the friendship, I honestly do think family would work really well. Especially since god of war ps4 brought it back into gaming spotlight. Tell me what you guy's think. I would like that, but since they ignored the existence of family in the Xehanort saga (really, it's as if none of these kids have parents who care about them), I think it would be weird to introduce that theme (narratively) in the series. How would they explain that in the Xehanort Saga, Sora was gone for like a year and didn't even care to send a "Hi dad, I'm okay" note. It just wouldn't work in my opinion. SoraDaxjer28 263 Posted May 3, 2018 That could only work if the focus revolved around a crossover with ABC's "'ONCE UPON A TIME'" where the focus is Family. Aside from that, I would rather it focused on True Friendship, Hope, and Acceptance OF Others Who Are Different!!
ocean's rage 770 Posted May 3, 2018 it would be nice to see sora and riku's parents as so far weve only seen kairi's grandma
Dustin Lübbers 933 Posted May 3, 2018 Its the natural progression isnt it? I would like that, but since they ignored the existence of family in the Xehanort saga (really, it's as if none of these kids have parents who care about them), I think it would be weird to introduce that theme (narratively) in the series. Yea i still find it so weird after all this time that we only heard once in KH1 "maybe we never see our parents ever again" and than were never spoken off again like not even as a site note, it would make much more sense at this point when they made sora an orphan and the people who are his "parents" people who adopted him since there seems to be that little emotional connection
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted May 3, 2018 I think it would be pretty cool if one of the themes that the next saga would explore would indeed be family! The Xehanort Saga has displayed the theme of friendship throughout, and it's given us worthy moments of feels and contemplation, so the next saga focusing on family would be great! KeybladeMasterBalo 504 Posted May 4, 2018 I wouldn't cast it out since it could improve some aspects in the series like adding Max with Goofy for example. I really think that Sora has to make up to his parents for leaving them to go alone on a journey. The problem as many have mentioned is how would they justify their absence as a whole because just bringing them suddenly would feel awkward IMO. It would only work if by any chance they hold some importance such as this example: "Sora reunites with a familiar face after a long long journey, it's his dad who set out to find him, leaving his mother behind, when he suddenly vanished and didn't come down to dinner, since then he has been battling darkness in order to return his son back to where he belongs, unfortunately he has been imprisoned by darkness and has yet to be freed from it". It's just an idea and STILL it feels awkward in some way.
