I would have to go with Final Fantasy X as well. I just loved the story, characters, and soundtrack. Learning about the world of Spira as I went along was also very fun for me, and I felt that overall the game did a good job of constantly keeping me invested in everything.

i have to go with FF7 and FFX. They both have great and memorable stories in my opinion. I'm almost done with FFX, myself. Getting close to the final boss of the game, haha. I plan to play through FF9 after beating FFX after hearing good things about that game. I look forward to FF9's story.

IV, VI, VII are my top 3 FF games because of their story.

 

I also like Versus/XV even though its development history was awful and the way the game's plot was handled was not the best.

 

I would like to play XIV, but I do not have the time to invest in a MMO.

XV for me. Even though the story is not the greatest (haven't played the DLC yet tho) the characters are so amazing and the gameplay was just addicting to me. Plan on replaying it soon

It's a tough call for me, but I have to go with VI as my number one choice. Next would be IX, then X, and XII. I also enjoyed XV quite a bit. Honestly, though, I love all the games.

I wanna say XV, but I really enjoy all the aspects of XIV the most. Only problem is that I still have issues reaching my account that's linked to my PSN ID even after going through their support. Game is fun, can't support it that well until SE Support gets better at their jobs.

Final Fantasy VI is definitely my favorite.  The cast of characters was just phenomenal, with almost each one playing some role in the story and despite the lack of voice acting it wasn't hard to get attached to them.  The music was fantastic, and overall I love the pace of the game.  I have yet to find a Final Fantasy to fairly rival it.

 

My runner-ups would be IV and IX if I were to choose.

This is probably a very unpopular opinion, but FFXII. : D The story or the characters are nothing special, but they work, and honestly speaking the world is so interesting it kinda was the main thing that kept me interested. I also found the gameplay pretty refreshing. The fact that it was the first Final Fantasy I ever played might also have something to do with why I'm so fond of it. : P

Then again, I've only played FFVII, FFXIII series and a bit of FFX and FFI. So if I decide to pick up some of the other games, I might change my mind. I really want to play FFVI and FFIX someday.
