Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

Yup. Let's do this!

 

Kairi walked along the beach of the island, her sights set on the door to the shack. She knew Sora's boat was here, since she saw it after she rowed herself here, and so she was heading toward the islet to see him; he wasn't that hard to miss, sitting up there. She approached the door to the shack and went inside, approaching the steps and ascending them to the next level.

Sora sat at the base of the Papou tree, his back against the trunk of the tree. He was staring up at the sky, a bottle sitting beside him and a letter in the other hand. He had been tossing and turning all night, so he had come out to the Island pretty early in the morning just because he could. He almost wished he hadn't though, because when he found the letter from the King and read it...The letter changed everything. He had to go away again, and he wasn't pleased to realize that again, he was being torn away from his love. His Light.

Kairi reached the top of the stairs and pushed the door open to the area near the bridge. She squinted slightly at the sunlight, but didn't stop walking. Her eyes were stuck on the boy she loved, his back to her as he sat on the Paopu tree. Oh well, she would surprise him. Besides, she couldn't wait to see him, this being the tomorrow she was waiting for.

Sora kept his gaze upward, recalling everything the letter said. He had read it multiple times just to swallow all of it, and now he almost felt as if he had it memorized. The King told him that he needed to search for three missing Keyblade Warriors, one of them being a Master. And their names...Aqua, Terra, and Ventus...why did their names sound so familiar to him? And why did he have to be the one to search for them? He was just getting comfortable at home again...

Kairi linked her hands behind her back as she crossed the bridge, eyes set on Sora. She quietly descended the small ramp that led to the islet and turned her head as she walked past the trunk of the Paopu tree. "Sora," she called softly, greeting him with a soft smile.

Sora turned his head, looking over at Kairi beside him. "Hey," he said softly, the greeting forced. He noticed that smile on her lips, but he couldn't bring himself to smile back, knowing that he was about to hurt her with what he had to tell her. He couldn't believe what awful timing this was, but then again, there wasn't really a good time for this to happen, either.

Kairi's small smile faded casually, even though she noticed the fact that Sora didn't return her greeting with as much enthusiasm. And by the look in his eyes, something seemed off. She was too focused on that to really notice the letter in his hands. "How long have you been here?" she asked, remaining in her spot nearby. "You look...tired."

"A few hours," Sora responded quietly, glancing at the sky and seeing that it still wasn't too late in the morning. If he had to guess, it was 9 or 10. It was unlike him to be out this early, and it was extremely rare that he would be here for a few hours by this point. That should have set Kairi off, if the letter in his hands hadn't yet.

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed slightly at the answer. She started toward Sora, her hands coming back to her sides. "But...why would you--" Her words stopped there, but so did her feet. Kairi's blue eyes had fallen on Sora's hands as she approached him, and now only a few feet away, she could see the letter...and the King's insignia on the paper.

Sora looked down at the letter, staring at that as he spoke. "I couldn't sleep," he explained softly. "So I came to the Island and found this." It hadn't been a pleasant surprise, that was for sure. But what was inside the letter was even more unpleasant to read.

"...What does it say?" Kairi asked, her voice no longer light or holding any sign of happiness. Instead, it was completely opposite. Sora... Was he leaving again? He couldn't be... Not now.

"...I need to leave," Sora said, eyebrows furrowing slightly as he stared down at the letter. "I have a day or two to take care of business before I go." That "business", of course, referred to him coming up with an excuse to leave for his parents and say goodbye to his friends. The King hadn't said anything about anybody else helping him on this journey, but he had a feeling that nobody was going to let him go alone even though he was capable of protecting himself.

Kairi lifted her eyes to Sora then, which had widened at the news. But she couldn't look at him for long. Instead, her sight dropped to the ground, her head lowering as well. He had to leave... But why?

"The King said he came across some information on three lost Keyblade Warriors," Sora said, continuing to glare down at the letter in concentration. "They all went missing over ten years ago, and now he wants me to search for them." That was a summary of the letter, anyway; Mickey had said more than that, but there was no need to quote him word for word.

As much as Kairi was hurting from the thought of Sora leaving, she knew she had to focus on what he was telling her. It was important. "Did he say who they were?" she asked softly, slowly lifting her eyes to him. Three lost Keybladers? That seemed very serious...

Sora nodded, keeping his gaze downward. "Terra, Aqua, and Ventus." The King had said that he met the three of them before and even fought with them. That was probably why he wanted Sora looking for them; he trusted that Sora could handle the task of finding them, since he had done good in the past. Terrific...

Kairi gasped softly at one of the names. Aqua? Why did that sound so familiar? She knew that name, because her heart wouldn't be feeling so...different if she didn't. But whose face belonged to it?

Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly, not knowing why Kairi gasped but not questioning it. "The King didn't know where I should start searching," he continued. "He just said that my heart would lead me." He had been led by his heart before, but never under these circumstances. Would he know what to do? What if he failed? This was a big task; failure wasn't an option. He couldn't let himself fail...

"Y-your heart?" Kairi repeated, not really knowing what else to say. She was still trying to deal with what was going on within herself. Aqua... She was trying so hard to fit the pieces together, that way she could figure out who must have been connected to her. Why else would her heart be reacting to the name if they weren't connected?

"Yeah," Sora said with a nod, hearing an odd tone of voice from Kairi. He didn't ask questions about it, figuring that she was just reacting to him saying that he had to leave soon. He would try to leave tomorrow; he wouldn't put this off and make the goodbye harder than it had to be. Maybe, if he could, he would come and visit Destiny Islands during his search.

Kairi didn't say anything more, completely speechless. She was confused as to what was going on inside her at the mention of Aqua, but even worse than that, Sora was leaving. He was leaving. And she didn't even know for how long...

Sora stayed silent now, not knowing what else to say. He couldn't believe that he had to leave again...And this mission would surely be a dangerous one. But despite that, he would work to try to convince his friends that he could do it alone; just because he had to leave didn't mean that they had to.

What would Sora tell his parents? Roxas, and Namine? And...Riku? The latter was going to be the hardest of all to tell this too, even if he handled adventures just fine. Riku liked being home; that much was obvious. And if he had to go with Sora... And Roxas... Kairi didn't want to lose them again...

"I'll do it alone," Sora declared softly, meaning it. If he had to, he would sneak off in the middle of the night so that Roxas and Riku wouldn't be dragged along in the adventure. Of course, he would secretly say goodbye to Kairi and Namine before that, but he would do whatever it took so that his other two friends didn't have to fight with him.
