Alchemike 48 Posted August 6, 2017 (edited) Hi guys rewatching latest trailer and looking at that gorgeous "coming 2018" i had a thought. I know people that actually were pissed because we still haven't got a full release date or at least the season. So i maybe got why a season window wasn't showcased.Tetsuya Nomura said in one of his interviews after the trailer that he is extremely confindent in the 2018 release and since fall is the last season of the year they could've easily put that, even they aren't certain at 100% of the release in 2018 putting fall was the most certain thing, everyone think that,i guess people think too negative about it why are we so sure that the game won't be out even before fall? For me the actual reason why that square just put that 2018 is because they are planning to release it in summer if everything goes good. They see That the actual development is going pretty good and said "wait, don't put already the fall 2018 we could actually make it for summer if it continues like that".And i have some reasons why Nomura think that Nomura when 2.8 was delayed he said that its good if the game comes out during the winter holidays because people can actually have more time to enjoy it (this always about japan).Nomura care about the time when the game releases for the player so summer holidays would be a great period to play kh3. And the actual release date for it could be the 7th of july,yes,7/13,i don't think i have to explain why.The game could still be released in fall but for me is more like "maybe we could actually release it before" and not "huh maybe we could barely make it for fall".I prefer to be positive because there's no reason to say "is coming out in fall" or "oh is going to be delayed for 2019".Just a positive thought about it. Connected 978 Posted August 6, 2017 I remenber back in 2016 (maybe early 2017), that Nomura said they already have a date planned. I quess they just want to hype it more up before give us the full release date. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Alja 61 Posted August 6, 2017 Having a release date is a huge commitment. I don't know how long games usually announce the release date beforehand, but hypothetically, if KH3 releases in March 2018, it would be 8 months in advance. That is a really long time and that's pretty much the best case scenario. A summer release would add up to one year and a fall/winter release to over a year. At the same time, with 2.8 and FFXV out of the way, SE knew they had to deliver something, especially with FFVII also still being far away. So they settled on the year and I would personally assume it's not necessarily because they're scared not to meet their schedule, but most likely because it's just too early to go into full promotion mode. And everyone going on about how KH3 will be delayed anyway... Jesus Christ, all this talk makes me hope KH3 will get delayed just to piss them off. Can't do anything right apparently, now they get an amazing release year and it's still not enough for them. 3 Master Eraqus, GoL-Semi and The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Merilly 438 Posted August 7, 2017 (edited) I also think it's best to go with a year instead of a specific date because 2018 is rather far away and we still have seen relatively few things of the game, even with the newest trailer being 5 minutes long. Not to mention that if they were that far into development to actually determine they're close to being finished, they could have mentioned a season at least. Not even a month or day but simply a season. That's why I think the beginning of 2018 is rather unlikely. Then there's the thing that any season can be used. Fall and Winter are great choices because of Christmas approaching. Summer because of longer vacations and Spring because March being the month where KH originally released. You can argue for any season and I would still think it's best to release it when it's actually ready, not to accomodate people and their vacations. Especially if you consider that a worldwide release is something they're going to attempt, there's no way they can make it right for everyone. In the end, I don't care when it releases as long as it's truly done, not because of schedules or convenience. And delays are something which happens frequently so it's not surprising if it does get delayed. We don't know how far they actually are but at the beginning of the year, Nomura said that they haven't even started on some of the worlds. It doesn't rule out delays at all and I don't even mind if it does get postponed as long as the result lives up to the expectations to some extent. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted August 7, 2017 Honestly, I find it baffling how there are people that still complain despite a release window having been given to us in the trailer. It just really baffles me! All the complaining over the "Now In Development" at the end of the trailers, and when we finally get "Coming 2018" in the latest trailer, people still complain? God! X_X But anyways, just the fact that we have a release year is enough for me! Knowing that next year is finally the year is enough to keep me content! That just means that I'll be looking forward to next year all the more so than any other year I've lived so far! Seriously though, when the time comes and Nomura is ready to reveal the exact date of release, we'll be ready! With nothing else in the way since FFXV and 2.8 are already out, KHIII is ripe for business! And the promised time is 2018! Gahh, I'm just so happy! 1 Garrett929 reacted to this
