BBS and DDD don't have text cutscenes. So KH3 shouldn't have. The storage limitations shouldn't even be there anymore.

Just because BBS and DDD didn't have them doesn't mean they can be ruled out entirely. Remember how I said before that if they DID come back, they could be voice-acted, similarly to Fire Emblem Echoes?

That would be better having them voiced. .02 was all cutscene I believe so im hopeing for the best.

Then just have a regular cutscene instead of voiced speech bubble ones. KH just has a lot of cutscenes, but practically every current gen home console game has regular cutscenes these days.

I never really liked the text cutscenes myself, they always felt really dull to me. If they do return I hope it's mostly for extra stuff that doesn't move the story along.

My stance would be if they serve a purpose to the plot of either the game on a whole or merely the world then they should be voiced. If they don't add anything substantial, then remove them. I wasn't against them in previous titles, but I wouldn't miss them if they are removed.

The text cutscenes sometimes really take me out of the expierence I don't mind them but my friend who was playing KH2 asked me ''Could you explain me why they first start talking with text and than 5 seconds latter they are fully voiced?'' eeeeeeh budget issues? I replyed not certain. When Aqua started talking in 2.8 over the mirror I expected text but I was surprised by the voice acting and it is welcome for me.

I wouldn't really care if there would be any text boxes or not, but I do think that they were kind of charming. That said it probably belongs with sixth generation of consoles, not so sure it'd look right with the art style they're aiming for.

BBS had a few text cutscenes if I recall correctly, but very few.

I feel like KH3 will have a few as well since so many resources are going into the new engine and gameplay and they'll probably need to cut corners somewhere by basic rendering.

That said, the text cutscenes are at least better ingrained than a lot of other JRPGs, where they just overlay stock voice clips because they don't want to pay to voice every little thing.

You're aware of Fire Emblem Echoes, right? Like I said earlier, text cutscenes were completely voiced. Square Enix should takes notes and do this for KH3, in my opinion, assuming there's still text cutscenes.
