Seeing that Ventus was present in the age of Fairy Tales led me to investigate BBS, Nomura wouldn't have randomly placed him in union X as one of the dandelions foreteller knowing that this was way before BBS.
So here it goes my theory is that Ventus was the one to open Kingdom Hearts in the age of Fairy Tales and it is based on the 4th Xenahort report from BBS wich says
Whoever opens the door will be reborn as something far greater than human
Light and darkness are two sides of the same coin without darkness there is no light
My guess is that by opening kingdom hearts he was probably granted the gift of eternal youth / life or some sort of power wich could explain the fact that he didnt age probably one of the reasons why no one knows where he came from or his origins, master Xenahort probably knew about it wich is why he saw something special in him and decided extract the darkness in his heart creating Vanitas wich also relates to the coin part ( Light and darkness are two sides of the same coin without darkness there is no light )
