Ariana Grande concert attack: At least 19 killed, 59 hurt in 'terrorist incident'

Recommended Posts

At least 19 people were killed and 59 others were injured Monday when an explosion rocked an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement that they were treating the blast at Manchester Arena as a "terrorist incident until police know otherwise."
Britain's terrorist threat level has been set at "severe" in recent years indicating an attack is highly likely. Monday marked the deadliest attack to hit the U.K. since the July 7, 2005 bombings that killed 52 people in central London.

A senior U.S. government official told Fox News that if the Manchester blast was terrorism, it showed a level of sophistication beyond recent U.K.-based plots that involved using knives and vehicles as weapons.

Please pray for all the victims and families of this terror attack. My prayers to anyone on this site who has been affected whether it is because it is close to home or anyone they know is one of the 19.

Note: this article was published last night during the chaos. The death toll is higher now as 22 have been reported dead.

That's so horrible. : ( It makes me sad these attacks have become so frequent I'm not even surprised anymore to hear news like this. I just feel empty... and powerless.

May all the victims rest in peace. <\3 Wish I could send my strenght and courage to those who lost someone dear to them.

This is sad. No one should have to deal with this. Hope that every affected will be able to cope with this tragedy(my bad if it's worded strangely). So many people's lives have changed because of this. :(

Horrendous incident. To think a place like that would be mainly parents taking their children to go watch their idol. Truly heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers to all involved.

I dont understand why terrorist keep doing this, do they really think they can win this way? On a global scale everything they do is like a moskito biting an elephant.

An unnecessary cruel useless act may the victims rest in peace

As someone who wants to be an influence on the world like Ms. Ariana is, I can only imagine the gravity of how that feels. This is something not many can understand. The people who unfortunately passed away were there for HER concert. To celebrate HER. They're her fans who just wanted to have a good night listening to their favorite singer. If I was her I probably would never be able to perform again.

I want to be a creator and create series that other people will enjoy. A similar thing could happen to me. Maybe one day I'm hosting a panel at Comic Con. I'm promoting some new show or something I created. I see the smiles and looks on all of the audience's faces and I just feel so happy, everything was so worth it to be able to bring joy into the lives of others. To have a bomb go off and remove those beautiful smiles off of the face of the earth is just horrible. I would never be the same again. I feel so horrible for Ms. Ariana Grande. She had to be rushed to the hospital for being traumatized. She is so young too. No one deserves that. These innocent men, women and children simply wanted to celebrate something they enjoy. Its no different than us KH fans who are going to the orchestra concert or conventions to meet our heroes. I hope the sick bastards who wish to carry out such heinous crimes will rot in whatever hell you believe in.

I heard about this in the morning, and I have to say that this is severely messed up! Things like this keep making people ever more fearful of the world around them, and families that were just enjoying time together while listening to Ariana Grande are now horribly traumatized by these events. It's messed up how these things keep happening and all these families are left with are horrifying memories. It's truly something sad. My thoughts and prayers go to the families of all the victims that died on this attack. May God watch over them, and may he deliver justice to those bastards who did this heinous act!

Truly something messed up. What has the world come to? :(
