Tails 6,690 Posted May 20, 2017 So there are many incarnations of Zelda in the "Legend of Zelda" series but which version is your absolute favorite? For me, it's definitely Skyward Sword Zelda. I really liked her personality in that game and how she wasn't just a mere princess that Link had to protect. She was his closest friend. Hyrule Warriors Zelda is my close 2nd because she's a Zelda that actually FIGHTS and is playable. She's not just a damsel in distress.
Elrandir 783 Posted May 20, 2017 I have to say that the incarnation of Breath of the Wild, because we can see her struggling with what can be considered her legacy. She is moody, she often gets angry with Link in the beginning because he reminds her of what she can't be. He is the Hero chosen by the Sword of Evil's Bane while she is just a princess who can't use the power that has been passed down in the royal bloodline. She is insecure, but wants to help, that's why she tries to help with the investigation of the shrines, guardians and devine beasts, even when her father told her to stop playing "scholar" and better focus on awakening her divine power. I think Twilight Princess is my second one. She fought against Zant's forces and lost everything in the end. She was to remain the Twilight Princess of Hyrule, forced to watch the town and citizens she couldn't protect. Her design was beautiful too, it gave her a more mature and serious look. But yeah, BOTW Zelda replaced TP Zelda for me 2 Tails and Exiblade7 reacted to this
Dave 5,715 Posted May 20, 2017 The Twilight Princess Zelda is probably my favorite. I like her stature, her stoic nature, and her ability to stay professional in spite of knowing better than anyone the gravity of the situation. It felt like she was more a Queen and actual ruler of Hyrule than other iterations. 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted May 20, 2017 Breath of the Wild zelda mainly because of her voice actor. Not saying I like her voice actor. It's just her voice actor, in particular, is able to say what she wants to say with emotion. That's what I got from a lot of the cutscenes with her
Zimomo 143 Posted May 20, 2017 My favourite one is SS Zelda, with the BOTW one as second. She had the potential to surpass the SS Zelda, if only she had more screentime
WakelessDream 2,277 Posted May 20, 2017 I think I'd also have to go with Skyward Sword's Zelda. I liked that Link and her were close friends, and that she wasn't descended from royalty, but actually the mortal embodiment of a goddess. It was nice to see a somewhat different take on things. Her character design and personality are so adorable too. I think Tetra from The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess's Zelda would be up there for me too though. 1 Tails reacted to this
Isaix 924 Posted May 21, 2017 Probably Skyward Sword Zelda because she's not just a boring princess, she's a fun character and I like her relationship with Link.Skyward Sword had problems, but I liked the story and some of the characters Spirit Tracks Zelda is probably my second favorite Zelda and I like Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors Zelda.Tetra is great, but as soon as she turns to Zelda she becomes the boring princess All the other Princess Zeldas are just boring, they don't do anything fun or interesting on screen

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted May 21, 2017 I would have to say Twilight Princess is my favorite incarnation of Zelda, for many of the reasons that Dave mentioned above. I love the fact that Zelda is a strong ruler worthy of a kingdom, possessing many qualities that a monarch truly needs. She's composed, serious, and determined, seldom exploiting her weaknesses and instead doing what must be done in order to preserve her nation and those she cares for. I also enjoyed the fact that she wielded a sword, indicating that she is a strong female protagonist and princess as opposed to merely serving as the damsel in distress that I felt she played in many of the games. I haven't yet seen Breath of the Wild Zelda to compare, however. My opinion may change when I do, but currently Twilight Princess Zelda is my favorite hands down and it would take a LOT to replace that. 1 Dave reacted to this
