The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted February 28, 2017 Compilation continuity GamersFlag : Would it take sense to you to create an HD Remaster of Compilation of Final Fantasy VII ( Before Crisis, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus) on a unique platform like you did with Kingdom Hearts ? Beyond the possibility of making it, would you like to do this ?Tetsuya Nomura : Concerning Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is a title loaded with a lot of mystery for now, it will be different from the original Final Fantasy VII. If we make a compilation, these games will hardly have an overall coherence. It will be difficult because there is no more continuity between the Compilation and the Remake for the moment. Original essence. Final Fantasy Dream : Will the maturity that characterizes the original game be retained in Final Fantasy VII Remake? Tetsuya Nomura : A lot of things will change, but the essence of the universe will not. That is one of the things that will remain intact. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Guest Posted February 28, 2017 I find it so stupid that Square Enix refuse to release a remastered compilation of Before Crisis, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus. The continuity reason is a really poor excuse when you consider the fact that this compilation could make them quick and easy money.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted February 28, 2017 The essense response is really vague cuz what it means differs from dev to dev Mostly likely it means what NOMURA think VII's essence is rather than Sakaguchi's vision of the game Cuz it makes no sense that he's saying he'll change a lot of the story while at the same time keeping the core of the original And I fear his vision of VII is more close to what Advent Children was than the original game.Which means stuff like Cloud's crossdressing and the dates in the Gold Saucer will be replaced with Cloud brooding to a wall with him swearing he'll get revenge on Sephiroth 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

Isaix 924 Posted March 1, 2017 Its kinda scary, but I was impress by what we got to see of the game so far,so I still have faith, but it seems like we might not get the Final Fantasy VII remake we were hoping for but rather a reimagined of FFVII. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted March 3, 2017 Thanks for sharing this with us, Shinobi! Hmm, so it seems everyone is a little nervous regarding how VII Remake will turn out! I'm hoping it turns out great! I'm thinking heavily upon playing the original before getting my hands on the Remake, though. One of my best friends/soul brothers talks to me so much about Final Fantasy VII and how it's truly a revolutionary entry in the franchise, that I've been dying to play it for a while! But I've got quite a few games I've yet to finish, so I'm putting VII on hold, but I really do want to play it! 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

The point of this remake is to surpass the original I presume, remaking the game in HD and keeping it all the same would be lazy. Nomura is ambitious, too ambitious. I mean sure there won't be a point if everything is the same But for me instead of changing they should add rather than morph VII into a completely different beast that doesn't resemble what the game meant for people anymore I have a bad feeling that the dating sequence from the Gold Saucer or the little quest where Cloud prepares for crossdressing (including being massaged by macho men) will be removed for some reasons which might include trying to keep the rating below M Cuz if we reimagined the crossdressing sequence, all the gore the game displays from time to time, and the dating sequence in the Gold Saucer where you could go on a date with Barret would jack up the rating from T to M This type of pandering isn't new to Square, remember the scenes from XV that were removed like when Luna was abused by the empire when she was young during the trailers? Yeah there's no need to reimagine everything, just make the entire game 3D, have the camera behind Cloud, keep the same dialogs with voice acting, improve the turn-based battle system of FFVII(add new materia, limit breaks or whatever),add new scenes to make FFVII a more complete experience and to connect FFVII more with the rest of the compilation and BOOM Squate makes millions of dollars and gamers are happy. Dio Brando 5,810 Posted March 6, 2017 Who's betting the entire sequence in Don Corneo's mansion will either A\be heavily altered or B\completely removed entirely 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

I don't want them pandering to SJWS and doing things like removing the word 'terrorist' or reducing Tifa's bust size.

Cuz God forbid there were women in this world with a natural big bust size It's ridiculous that they'd censor something like human anatomy but not the countless amount of gore, decapitation and dismembering in modern day M rated games. Not saying that they should censor all violence but it's the hypocrisy that blows my mind 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
