Felucia

The marshy, peaceful planet of Felucia had been impacted by the Clone Wars of old; now, once again, the planet was struck by war. The skies of Felucia were filled with swarms of X-Wings, Y-Wings, TIE Fighters, and other ships firing lasers at one another, while troops on the ground fought their own violent battle. The air was filled with the screeches of TIE Fighters and blasts from either side, while on the ground, various soldiers, droids, tanks, and more tore across the bright marshlands in a battle to reach or defend the new base belonging to the First Order.

Above the surface of Felucia, ships sped back and forth, locked in combat with the opponents they could find. As ships were shot down, they would plummet to the planet’s surface, potentially disrupting a ground battle. Among the chaos in the skies, a blue X-Wing soared through the maze of ships. Its pilot, a young woman named Kira, targeted a TIE Fighter and shot it down. “One more down!” She exclaimed into her comm device instinctively while the defeated ship burst into flames. She turned around in a wide arc, then gunned down a few more that were closely following one of her comrades.

Back on the ground, a team of fighters was taking a longer path around to the destination of the First Order’s base. The team was led by a young Jedi named Aerik Relam; he carefully brought the group through the tall plants and shallow rivers, keeping to the shadows away from any enemy troops. As the team got closer, they could see that the area was more heavily guarded, with more Stormtroopers and turrets to keep intruders out. The base was still obscured by the thick cluster of plants all around the group, but judging from the heavy defenses and the information brought by a spy, it was clear that the team was getting close. Aerik turned back to his allies and kept his talking to a low whisper. “It looks like we’ll need to battle… is everyone prepared? I think we should have a team to distract them and another team to find an opening and get through. Any objections?” He asked, looking at the others.

Sran kept his fingers on the trigger of his dual pistols. He had been in battle before when he got around with Bounty Hunters, but this was far more than what he had anticipated. Not that he complained, however. It was a rush of adrenaline to be part of this. Plus, the thought of doing good, and get rid of this evil order wasn't bad to add to his list of things he had done in life. Sran looked up at the team leader, a Jedi no less. Aerik he recalled. "I think we can take these guys." Sran said, obvious confidence in his tone, smiling as he lifted one of his pistols. "I'll get them between the eyes...or SD cards if I'm aiming at the turrets." He joked. Sure, this could mean that he could possibly die at any moment possible but as they say, go down swinging, right? "Though if I had more time maybe I could hack the turrets to be on our side! Though that would be difficult without getting a hole on my back." Sran added. As a self-proclaimed tech-wizard he was sure he could try and hack them. Though whether it worked or not was at the will of if today was a good day or a bad day for him. On the other hand, Nisih nodded, her lightbow in hand. They could look for an alternate entrance while they were distracted. The front entrance surely wasn't the only one available. But if they got separated too far off they could also risk of being overwhelmed. Ah. The difficulties of war. Decisions decisions. "We have to be careful of any reinforcements inside." She insisted. Though, she could probably see them coming if they did, and give them at least a few seconds of a head start. "I'm ready when you are, Aerik. We wait at your signal."

Dawson kept quiet throughout the mission. He carried a blaster in his left hand, while carrying his Lightsaber's hilt in his right. Dawson followed Aerik to the base. It was clear that it was heavily guarded by Stormtroopers and turrets. Sran then made some jokes, but brought up the idea of changing the code to have the turrets side with the group. But he would probably get hurt. Dawson comes up with an idea. "How about I distract the turrets while you sneak around them and 'fix' them?" He then faces Aerik. "I'll have half the team create a diversion, while you and the other half invade the base. Zamtria and our transport will be here soon. Sounds like a deal?"

{Marcus & Mirja}

Marcus and Mirjahaal Trelk took a knee as they observed the base they were here to take down. The young Jedi Aerik's suggested plan was simple, but still a classic. Marcus rested his EE-4 carbine on his shoulder and tapped the side of his helmet, engaging the suite of sensors he had built into his armor. He scanned the defenses, marking targets and entrances. Mirja got a feed of what Marcus was seeing on her datapad built into her left bracer. She made note of what Marcus marked and started opening up a few attack programs.

"Doesn't look like we have any hidden goodies in wait for us." Marcus reported to the rest of the team. "Slicing the turrets would certainly give the distraction team a boon. Whatcha think, love?"

"Risky, but doable." Mirja answered, a natural distortion to her voice putting people in mind of the synthesized voice of a droid.

After finishing looking over her husband's scans, the Mandalorian Slicer looked up at the base itself.

"I'll go with the infiltration team and handle any security systems and doors we come across." She concluded.

"Then I'll be out here with the distraction team." Marcus said with a nod. "Should be able to help keep Sran alive while he works his magic."

With his free hand, he smacked Dawson on the arm.

"Always fun to be the bait." Marcus said with a chuckle.

"Just try not to get shot this time." Mirja said dryly, eliciting another chuckle from her husband.

{Leeta}

In the skies above Felicia, a Y-Wing tried to swing in behind a First Order TIE, only to meet on coming fire from a rear facing turret. From above, a grey TIE Defender screamed down on the TIE/SF, blasters blazing. The SF's shields failed and it exploded moments before the TIE Defender flew through it.

"Keep an eye out for the new TIE variant the First Order is using." Leeta Surik said over the comms in her normal calm tone. "They have been outfitted with turrets as well as missile launchers. Attack from above or the sides."

Leeta, under the call sigh Knight 1, had joined the Resistance fighter squadrons for this assault because she didn't feel this mission was important enough to reveal the existence of the Imperial Knights to the First Order. Until then, she would have to trust the fledgling Jedi to do what was necessary on the ground.
