Roleplay kids in america (digimon rp)

Recommended Posts

In the busy metropolis of New York city. there were many possibilities for the hands of fate. But for these youngsters. There paths were chosen. They were the digidestined. Chosen to save this world and the digital one.

Sabrina was on her way to school nothing out of the ordinary. The roads were busy. With both automobiles and pedestrians. She wondered to herself. "Hmm what kind of day will this be? Wonder how Jessie is doing."

TJ was sitting in front of the school shuffling his deck of playing cards. "Same crap different day. When are things gonna change? I wish I could figure out what I'm supposed to do besides school."

In a small but peaceful house in New York City, there was yet another DigiDestined. He was a boy named Steven Drae, and he was getting ready to log onto his Online School to work on his classes. One thing he always does before school isn't what any normal teenager would do: he calls his Digimon friend and partner to come join him. This Digimon was named Veemon, and has been Steve's partner for nearly four years now. Steve and Veemon met surprisingly one day during a serious thunderstorm, and have yet to figure out why or how Veemon got here in New York. "Hey, Veemon! Are you ready to go to school today?" Steven called for Veemon, who was in the basement lifting weights up to 30 pounds.

"Urrhh... Al-most... Fourty-NINE... Fifty..." Veemon replied intensely. His arms were pretty sore, but felt a whole lot stronger. He slowly lowered the weights, and breathed in and out heavily as he walked back upstairs, meeting Steven at the top. "Okay... I'm comin'."

Steve and Veemon walked over to their usual spot, where they usually sat down to work on the computer. As Steve was logging into class, he told his pal about what they were going to do after school. "Okay, so after we're finished with school for today, we'll go and meet up with my one friend from the public school. Sound like a plan?"

Veemon understood, but tilted his head in concern, "Okay, but we will have to be careful, okay?" Veemon's concern was being spotted by someone and getting involved with something bad.

"Right, I won't let anyone see you or take you away, not after this long." Steve agreed.

~Jessie~

"Bye, mom! See you after school!" She said as she gets on her bicycle and started heading to school. It's a normal day as usual. It's been 2 weeks since Jessie went to a new school. She already made a friend named Sabrina Clark.

In an obscure section of the city...

The sudden, shrill beeping of the alarm clock on the bedside sent a small jolt through the teenager's body, his eyes fluttering slightly. Damn, was it morning already? He groaned, raising a hand to rub his face lightly and shifting his head slightly...enough to set a patch of light that had made its way through a gap in his shears directly onto his face. Slowly but surely, one of his piercing blue eyes slowly opened to a world of blurry light. Time for another morning...why had his alarm been so early again?

Oh. Right. Weekday, and that meant school...how could he forget.

Seth sighed as he rolled over to his other side, his arm outstretched as he fumbled with his bedside table for his glasses, managing to knock them over onto the floor. Wearing glasses was starting to get annoying...he had gotten it in his mind to ask his parents for corrective surgery, but somehow letting a laser near his eye sockets sounded like an incredibly painful procedure if they screwed it up somehow. Rolling his eyes, the boy slammed his alarm's snooze button, sliding off of his bed and picking up his glasses from the floor. Hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with anyone else today, but seeing as how this day was starting out...

He quickly slid his glasses on, the world around him becoming much clearer as his eyes adjusted to the corrective lenses. Same blue sea-themed wallpaper, same black rug, same desk...the same it had been for the past fourteen years. And he would continue the same routine he had every semester: get to class before it started, spend class silently taking notes on his laptop, spend lunch down at the lake behind the school underneath the same tree...it was starting to get monotonous. If only something interesting would happen, to put his analytic side to work.

...maybe with a break or two to devote even a little bit of time into those model kits he'd been meaning to finish. Crossing the room to his desk, Seth smiled lightly at the five or so that adorned his desk, paying special attention to the one beside the black laptop. A simple color scheme: white with a gark gray torso, blue wings on its back, and a gold v-shaped fin on its forehead with gold eyes. It had been his first, an entry-grade Freedom mobile suit, and it would forever be his favorite. And then...there was the stack of boxes on the floor. Yeah...those were next on the list, whether he liked it or not. Glancing back at his bedside clock, the boy's eyes widened. Shoot, if he didn't hurry, he'd miss class...and that was NOT going to happen.

Seth quickly threw on one of his white shirts and a pair of black jeans, disconnecting his laptop from the outlet and jamming it in the back sleeve of his backpack as he rushed to get out the door. He stepped out into the morning sun, grabbing his bike out of the garage...before it became clear that the back tire was locked into place. Geez, what was with today?! "Come on, this can't be happening..." He always biked the school, but it didn't look like that was going to happen this morning. A quick scan of the walls of his garage proved futile...where was his pump? A few moments of pointless searching later, Seth finally admitted defeat and closed the wide door, electing to jog instead. No...he wasn't going to be late. No matter how boring class was, that would ruin his perfect attendance record.

"...it can't be helped." Whether he wanted to or not, Seth was walking. And according to his calculations...it was going to take at least twenty minutes to get there on foot. He brushed a section of medium-length black hair out from in front of his face, jogging at a decent pace down the road that led to the school.

Sabrina was daydreaming on her way to school. It was the gymnastic tournament last year. She was nearly the best athlete as she lost her balance on a balance beam and fell. All of her classmates laughed at her and told her she let her school down. She was so upset for weeks she isolated herself. Till she met jessie. She taught her to never give up. Just then she had bumped into a crowd of people. "Yo watch it cuz. These are my new kicks!" She looked down. "Sorry I was thinking..." "well think next time ya hear me?!"

TJ looked around into an alley and saw a kid getting beat on. "So you think you can just sneak by and not pay up!!!!" TJ got behind them and grabbed they're shirts. "Hey enough." "who are y...Its TJ. Why would you wanna save a nerd like him?" TJ punched his jaw. "I said move it." "you will regret this. "Eh whatever." the two bullies ran and gave the kid some money. "Watch yourself." the kid nodded and ran

~Jessie~

Jessie arrived at the school as she chained her bicycle and goes inside. She sits down and waits for Sabrina. Before she met Sabrina, Jessie doesn't have any friends. She was bullied so many times when she was young. As she first came to this school, she remembered seeing Sabrina depressing after the gymnastic tournament she was in last year. She felt really bad for her and decided to cheer her up. She taught her not to give up and keep going. After that, they become best friends. While she's waiting for Sabrina, she takes out her camera, turned it on and looks at the photos.

As Steve and Veemon started making it into the digital classroom, Steve's dad came into the room with a drowsy look in his eyes. "Good morning, Mr. Drae!" Veemon looked over Steve's head to see a tired dad.

"Hey." Steve's dad replied, rubbing his eyes. He then gazes over at Steven more specifically. "Hey, Steve, You remember that you still need to catch up in your American Government?" He groaned, not in a negative way, but more of a just woke up sort of way.

"Don't worry, Dadda, we're getting right on it." Steve replied, nodding. "Oh yeah, that's right, remember that I'm meeting up with one of my friends at the public school later today."

"Okay. But don't take Veemon with you, understand?"

Steve frowned in disgust at that moment. "Ohh..." He looked over at Veemon, hoping he will decide otherwise, of course, Veemon usually tries to do the right thing.

"It's okay, Steve. You'll be alright. And if something happens, call me, alright?" Veemon said, hoping to cheer Steve up. "We'll worry about it when we get to that." He confidently smiled, giving a thumbs up as well.

"Yeah, you're right." Steve gave a thumbs up back, and smiled confidently as well. "We'll crack down on that American Government, and then I'll get going!"

Steve's dad had already left the room. Steve and Veemon began their next American Government assignment. Over the course of the next few hours, the two had completed two more assignments in that class, since the assignments are usually pretty long.

Seth slowed down as he came within a short distance of the school, panting as he came to a stop at a nearby street sign to catch his breath. He was going to have to ask his mom where the bike pump had ended up when he returned home for the evening...of all the dumb luck. The boy glanced at his watch, breathing a sigh of relief at the current time. Five more minutes; it looked like he was going to make it in time after all. When his pulse had calmed down enough, Seth passed through the familiar school gates, making his way inside.

All he had to do was get to his seat before the teacher walked in, and he'd be set. He ignored the odd glances that he received from the students milling about the grounds; as if they hadn't seen a student hurrying to be on time for a class before. It took him a few minutes to find the right classroom, ducking into the bathroom across the hall just long enough to sort himself out. Looking at himself in the mirror, his hair had become disheveled and his glasses had slipped down the bridge of his nose...and that was not going to stay that way. After cleaning his glasses off on the bottom of his shirt and running his hands through his hair a few times, Seth looked at the very least...presentable. Well, as presentable as he normally looked. He smiled slightly at his reflection, taking a deep breath and exhaling as he approached the classroom door and walked inside.

As he crossed the front of the room, Seth managed a few quick furtive glances out of the corner of his eye at the students that had arrived before he did. None of them looked familiar to him...well, that was to be expected from a new school semester, anyway. His seat by the window in the second row was, as usual, vacant. Nobody wanted to intrude on that section of the classroom for some reason...were they apprehensive about being close to the teacher? That had to be it. Seth didn't mind it, though; it gave him just the right vantage point to take notes and check the message boards that he frequented often. Nothing beat taking notes and simultaneously reading about the new card games that were popping up these days. From time to time, he'd post pictures of the robot models that were in progress; the boy had made a name for himself on those communities as the mysterious entity known as TABRIS, adopting the moniker as a way for him to avoid posting personal photos and putting himself out on the public domain as much as possible.

Seth slipped into his seat, hooking his bag on the edge of the desk and pulling out his laptop; a smaller, black-painted brushed aluminum model with a jet fighter motif. Upon closer inspection, there appeared to be a decal of a drifting yellow sports car in the center of the lid, pop-up headlights being one of its notable aesthetics.

Sabrina had finally reached the courtyard. She saw jessie. "Hey jessie sorry I'm late ran into trouble." she smiled at her. "How was your morning?"

TJ had walked into the class and saw Seth. He never cared much for the boy always buried in his laptop. He sat at a desk in the back of the room. He put his feet up and started to read a manga

Jessie then saw Sabrina who just arrived. She smiles at her and said. "hey, Sabrina. it's alright. And It was ok. same as yesterday and the day after that. Mom been busy as usual. Hehe.. Oh, by the way, she made some brownies for you." She takes out a small box from her backpack and give it to her. "anyways, let's go inside." She takes her to class. She looks at her photos and noticed that one of her pictures is blurry. "that's weird." after that, she goes to her desk and sits on her chair. Jessie sees one guy who's seems busy with something with his laptop. (Seth) then she saw another guy named T.J. She doesn't know him too much. All Jessie heard that he's a popular kid. As she continues to look at her photos, one of the students took her camera away from her and laughs a bit. She gasps and gets up. "Hey, give me my camera back, please?" the student smirks as he plays around with the camera. "let's see what you got in this Thing." He then sees her, most of the pictures had buildings, small animals, parks and some pics of her, her mother and sister. "What kind of crap is this?" Jessie was panicking. "please, give it back! That camera Was my dad's!"

As Steve and Veemon were opening up their first assignment for the day, Veemon was still thinking about Steve's friend. He wondered what he looked like, and what secrets he might be hiding, if he was hiding anything besides his name. "So what's your friend like again?" He asked Steve.

"Well, his name is Seth, and we met online in a forum for the card games we play." Steve responded, making simple hand gestures. "Yeah, he actually goes by the username TABRIS online, and while I haven't talked to him much, it sounds like he is willing to trust me with his true identity, or at least his name."

Veemon nodded in understanding. "Ohhh, so that's the connection..."

Steven nodded back. "Oh, I almost forgot. Veemon, could you go get my phone? I need to text him to remind him that we're gonna meet up." Steve points over at the top of the clothes drawer, where a smartphone with a blue, glowy edge resides.

"Oh, sure thing." Veemon hops up from his spinny chair and quickly snags the phone, rushing back to Steve. "Here you go." Veemon smiled cheerfully.

Steve then took his phone from Veemon, and pats him on the head. "Thank you!" Steve smiled back, and after a little bit, he quickly turned on his phone and began typing a text to Seth. The reason he texted instead of calling is because, well, Seth was probably already in class. Steve made the text quick and short:

"Hey Seth. We're still meeting up after school? Let me know soon."

Steve then hit send. "Alright, let's just hope he gets it in time." Steve put his phone in his pocket, and looked back up at the computer.

Veemon was already zoned out from being patted on the head by Steven. Despite his capability to focus on most things pretty well, he has a soft spot for being petted and being shown love and affection, especially from his closest friend Steve. He doesn't really know what to say or do when he feels that happy. But after a little bit, he came back to his senses, and looked over at Steve. "Oh, uh, right. We'll see what your friend says." He agreed. "Let's get to work now, shall we?"

"Yeah, let's." Steve agreed in return, and the both began reading the lesson pages.

The boy seemed to be engrossed in his laptop for the next few minutes, not noticing the two girls that had just walked into the classroom. He always had the tendency to completely ignore everyone when he got involved in something; for the moment, it was reading about the new expansion packs for the Digimon card game...there were certainly some interesting ones in the roster for this month. Maybe they'd be worth investing in when he had the time...but, of course, school came first. The most he could do was make assumptions as to how they would fit into a deck...

A small pop-up on his screen did nothing to break him away from finishing up a post, before he acknowledged the small pop-up window titled with a familiar name. He had synced up his texts to a web-based service, so he got alerts even while in class. A sneaky way to go about taking notes while texting, but it certainly helped in the case of an emergency. His phone was always on silent, anyway...it wasn't like many people called him. Seth smirked, recognizing the familiar tag. Shoot, that was right...he and Steven were going to hang out after school today. How could he have forgotten?

He managed to get out a quick <"We'll see."> before the commotion from the back of the classroom made him look away and quickly turn his head to spot a dark brown-haired girl who seemed to be on the verge of tears. The snooty boy seemed to be waving something small and metallic above her head, sneering at the screen as he looked through her personal photographs...that was a camera, right? Something inside of him clicked as he cocked his eyebrow. He was unsure what to do, and yet it felt like he had to do something. A person's personal device was their property...no bully deserved to know the contents without permission, and that was something that Seth knew well.

Acting purely on instinct, the boy got up from his chair and approached the two, glaring at the other boy with disdain. "Taking someone's phone without permission, as well as accessing their data is an invasion of privacy. Give it back. Now." Seth sounded almost terse as he stood there, pressing the bully to refrain from his antics and return the camera before things got ugly. When it came to technology, he was all business, and he wasn't going to just sit by and watch this happen.

TJ got up from his seat seeing seth stand up for the girl.  "I'd listen to the geek if I were you.  you never know you might trip and break your face."  TJ was tense and couldnt stand other bullies.  he was always standing up for the meek.  TJ normally couldnt stand seth but he really respected him for this act.  "I won't ask again."

Sabrina tried to help get the camera back but it was no use.  "DOnt make me angry!"

The boy scoffed. "fine. Here's your stupid camera." He throws it at Jessie and goes back to his seat. Jessie catch her phone and sighs in relief. She felt bad that Sabrina and the boys got involved. "thank you.. I'm really sorry about that.." She looks down sadly as she holds her camera close to her chest.

Seth sighed with relief as he loosened up slightly, still watching as the bully gave up and returned to his seat. Good riddance. He had better things to do than deal with people like him...over the years, he had learned to brush off the insults thrown at him, but seeing things like this happen made his neck bristle. The boy rarely intervened; nothing had escalated this far before. Maybe because the target had been a girl?

The boy shook his head, coming out of his thoughts and blushing awkwardly at Jessie's thanks. "Er...yeah. it's...fine..." Seth took that moment to quickly return to his seat before he had to say anything else. Talking to others in the open wasn't something he was used to, and it was quite obvious to others. He sighed, returning to his messenger. <"Sorry about that, man. Something came up in class...bullies."> No doubt, he would likely run into that girl later...he was almost completely sure of it.

An hour passed since Steve and Veemon started working on their first assignment. For some reason, the connection to the internet and sending texts has been a little rough lately, as the immense amount of digital traffic has been jammed due to the number of people in the city with their phones and laptops. "Man, I know that they're probably in class and all, but I hope Seth got the message." Steven sighed.

Suddenly, his phone went off, and the sound played, specifically the one that plays whenever he gets any notifications. "Yay a new friend!" This was said in Veemon's voice from one of the Digimon movies.

"Huh, might that be him?" Veemon sparked a small amount of curiosity.

Steven heard Veemon, but he was also smiling from the notification sound, again. "Hmm, let's see." Steve tapped the side of his phone, pressing the power/wake-up button. He check to see what notification it was. There were two that appeared: one was from Seth's cell, and from another number... It wasn't one he recognized, nor was it one that anybody could've expected to see.

343-666-4444

Steven was a little confused, but was curious about this message. Oh man! What on earth? Steve thought to himself, realizing what the number meant. The triple six was the devil's number that is widely known, while the quadruple fours was the unlucky or unholy number in Japan. And Steve pondered for a moment, but figured out that the 343 meant DIE, since those are the letters that are found on the 3 and 4 keys on the phone. "Veemon? I got two messages. I got one from Seth, and one from this really messed up number." Steve told Veemon in a nervous tone.

"What? A messed up nu-" Veemon paused, remembering something very important. "Steven," Veemon spoke, "Whatever you do, do not read, don't delete, and don't reply to that message."

Steve was scared now, but trusted Veemon's words. "Okay... I... I won't mess with it." Steve said. "I'll at least read Seth's okay?" Steve quickly opened up Seth's text, and read out loud: "We'll See." Suddenly, another one popped up. "Oh? It's also from Seth. He said: 'Sorry about that, man. Something came up in class...bullies.'" Steve felt less tense now. He sent a quick reply to his friend:

"Cool, and be careful. Don't worry, you'll see me. I'll be in a dark blue T-shirt."

Sabrina sat down while comforting Jessie. She had found out that Jessie really valued her camera. Tj went back to his seat. He was eyeing Seth. What made him act out of character? The girls in the class surrounded him. "So what you doing later tj?". He shrugs.

At veemon and Steven's location 2 digimon approach them. Koromon and tsunomon. Koromon looked at them. "Hi there!"

As Steve was sending the text, Veemon heard something moving. It was coming from under the bed. "Hey, Steve... You hear that?" Veemon whispered.

"Huh?" Steve turned around and saw two little balls hop out from under his bed, one pink and one orange. When they came out, he was surprised, and when they spoke, he was startled. "Huh?! A Koromon? And a Tsunomon?! From the Digimon card game?!"

Veemon was just as surprised as he was. "What?! They're here? Now?!" Veemon was thinking of something far greater than just these Digimon appearing. Oh no... Is it closer than I thought? Veemon thought to himself in fear. "I-I mean, where did you guys come from?!" He asked the two Digimon.

Steven grew interest about the two Digimon. They were the very first Digimon he has seen in real life ever since Veemon appeared three years ago. When they showed their digivices, both Steve and Veemon were curious about them. "Digivices...? Veemon, do you know about these?" Steve asked Veemon, picking up one of their digivices and examining it.

"They're... Phone-shaped digivices..." Veemon said nervously. "Steven. There's something I never told you." Veemon sighed, accepting that the time has come to tell him about the digivices. "You already know about the digivices, from the Digimon tv series, right? Well, you see... You are supposed to get one. The reason you never got one before was that it wasn't time for you to learn how to truly use it." Veemon spoke clearly and seriously. "And also, I'm... your Digimon partner!"

Steven paused, looking up at Veemon. Then, he started to smile. "Veemon. There's something I haven't told you either."

Veemon silenced for a moment to hear what Steven had to say.

"... I knew." Steve gave the digivice he held back to Koromon and Tsunomon. "But we'll talk about that later."

Veemon gasped, wanting to continue talking it over with Steve. However, he understood what Steve was saying now. "Right. So, Koromon, Tsunomon. If you came from the Digital World, and are looking for your partners, what brought you to us?" Veemon thought it would be easier to communicate with the child Digimon, so he spoke up first. "Oh, I guess we should introduce ourselves. I'm Veemon, and this is Steven."

"Oh yeah, that's right. Nice to meet you!" Steve greeted the two Digimon.

<"Roger that.">

The boy sighed, stretching a bit in his chair. Damn, what a morning this was turning out to be...first his awkward morning, now having to step in on a bully to protect someone else's privacy. It was mildly uncharacteristic of him to interfere in those sorts of events...well, not in person, anyway. He rolled his eyes at the sound of the fawning girls in class as they crowded around TJ. Seth hadn't truly been introduced to the guy over his past few years in the school; he actively avoided his type, if only because he didn't want to be involved in it. He knew that the popular boy was the object of every student's fantasy: girls wanted him, guys wanted to be him. Well, except for Seth.

And yet, something sat in the back of his mind. He had been the first to react to the situation before it worsened, and yet, it didn't do anything for his outward image. Was it because he was anti-social? Because he actively avoided contact with others? He wasn't that good with computers, but what skill he did have often showed. There had been the off-time when a random student would work up the courage to approach him and ask about computer repairs, only to pawn off his ability and gloat about how they fixed their computer all by themselves. Seth crossed his arms, glancing back in TJ's direction out of the corner of his eye and narrowing them. Popular guys...damn, they irritated him. No girl would look twice in a tech specialist's direction with a guy like that in class.

Tj sat quietly. The teacher came in and took attendance. His mp3 began to go on the fritz. "What the hell is going on?"

Koromon and tsunomon's tummy's rumbled. "Oh boy we sure are hungry. Is there any food?"

Both Steve and Veemon sighed. Now they had a whole bunch of problems on their hands: Not only did they still need to work on their American Government work, they had to take care of two more bellies. And not just any bellies, Digimon bellies. Their appetite is always big when they are young and single-minded. And, if left unfed, the Digimon can become very violent and terrifying. Steve and Veemon looked at each other in disgust, then turned back to Tsunomon and Koromon. "Huff... Fine, I'll go get you two something to eat. Veemon, you make sure they don't make a mess." Steve walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen to look for some food.

"Okay you guys. You heard Steven; don't make a mess. We still have lots of schoolwork to get done, so you better behave well," Veemon spoke proudly and with authority. He then walked over to the door out of Steven's room, and closed it. This was to make sure the little Digimon didn't run off.
