Last year, Square Enix had infact stated that they have an interest in porting older games to the Nintendo Switch With CEO, Yosuke Matsuda, stating that they will not rule out any IP’s for the Nintendo Switch.
It worth noting that the possibility of the previous Kingdom Hearts games coming to the Nintendo Switch is not to be completely ruled out either, according to series director Tetsuya Nomura.
Previously, The World Ends With You characters where among the first of Square Enix’s IP’s (other than Final Fantasy) to be featured in the Kingdom Hearts series. In both Sora’s and Riku’s stories in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, during the farewell scenes between them and The World Ends With You characters, there were hints pointing towards the return of the characters and Sora reuniting with them in Shibuya.Spoiler
