When asked more about the assets, 13th Vessel gave some more insight on the structure of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, which you can read below:

"Kingdom Hearts 0.2, it's basically a video with playable levels. Every cutscene that you see in-game is just a video."

When asked about which characters' assets they have found so far, they replied with:

"We have also found models for other characters (Yen Sid, Kairi, and Riku). Sora, Donald, and Goofy haven't been found as of yet."

UPDATE [Dec 18, 2017]: KeytoTruth has found unused commands in the assets of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. Some of the commands that weren't used for the final version of the game were Water, Aero, Holy, WaterFire, WaterBlizzard, and WaterAero. You can view the full list of commands here.

UPDATE [Dec 31, 2017]: @Xeeynamo has found untextured models of Sora and Goofy from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. Their pictures have been added to the album embed above.

UPDATE [Jan 1, 2018]: 13th Vessel has reported that they have uncovered "almost every model," including untextured character models for Riku in his Kingdom Hearts original outfit, Donald, Ansem the Wise and Terra; he has also found Riku's and Mickey's suitcases model. He has also found the files for Ventus and shirtless Mickey and many more, but there are no images available for those models yet. In the mean time, you can view all of the ones available in the gallery with the other images above.

UPDATE [Jan 2, 2018]: 13th Vessel has uncovered the untextured character model for Terra-Xehanort's Guardian, which you can view in the gallery above. He's also found Kingdom Key, Kingdom Key D, Donald's weapon, and effects for the previously reported on Water magic, which were not viewable. Some maps and textures of models are still there even after having been deleted. For example, in the NPC folder, 13th Vessel found some folders for Daybreak Town, but they only had textures of scrapped models in them. (Note that there he didn't find any maps for Daybreak Town.)

The next step would be to find a way of seeing these textures to identify them, but 13th Vessel says that that's a very complicated task. He states that because of this, there could be many things that are scrapped that we are not able to view.

UPDATE [Jan 2, 2018]: 13th Vessel has uploaded the soundtrack's file names from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A fragmentary passage- that he pulled from the game's assets. This list does not contain the game's opening song, "Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope Mix)."

You can see the list below:

UPDATE [Jan 5, 2018]: We had another chance to speak to 13th Vessel about the NPC folders and the textures (with no models) found in them, and he explained to us, in detail, that some of the characters' models are found in folders whose names are identifiable with the code of the area those characters are seen during the game.

For instance, the untextured models for Yen Sid, Riku, Riku's and Mickey's suitcases, Kairi, Sora, Donald, and Goofy were found in folders with the code "yc" - for Yen Sid's Castle. 3. Hackings show inaccessible areas in Destiny Islands and Dwarf Woodlands in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-

Back in September, HdHereidme uploaded a video showing off a hacked version of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. The video contains the free exploration of sections with limited accessibility in the game, such as Destiny Islands and The World Within in Dwarf Woodlands. The video showcases the beauty of the Unreal Engine 4, and definitely leaves the viewer wondering how Kingdom Hearts III will look like in 2018.

You can take a look at the video below:

Thanks to KHInsider for the tip!

In October, 13th Vessel uploaded a couple videos showcasing inaccessible areas in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- as well. He also shows off Destiny Islands and The World Within in Dwarf Woodlands, where he tried out some room codes and got a rare debug message, which stated "Continue as normal, the flag isn't raised" (in Japanese).

You can check out the video below:

Also, the video of the full gameplay can be viewed below:

What do you think about the areas' graphical showcase? And what do you expect to see from Kingdom Hearts III in terms of graphics? Feel free to tell us in the comment section!

You can view images of the figure below. The Square Enix Online Store description follows.

Aqua, the first female protagonist in the KINGDOM HEARTS series, has the inner fortitude to withstand adversity. This Play Arts -KAI- figure is sure to please as it showcases her unwavering spirit in its expression.

The various included accessory parts allow for a multitude of action poses. The paintwork, varying calculated intensities of light and shadow, gives her a realistic presence, all while taking great care to show off of her signature blue color. We also aimed to give her armor and keyblade a heavy feel through the paint-applied metal textures.

Whether she is charging gallantly into battle with Rainfell or showing her softer side in scenes with Terra and Ventus, we have condensed every bit of her charm into this figure to make it quintessentially Aqua.

    Figure includes display stand.

    Figure Size (inches): W 3.62” x D 1.9” x H 9.1”

On August 11, 2016, the first official Kingdom Hearts concert was held in Japan, called Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath-. Fans who attended the event were treated to orchestrated music from the Kingdom Hearts series. Voice actors for Terra and Namine (Ryōtarō Okiayu & Iku Nakahara, repsectively) were in attendance. Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, said "something was in the works" about a week before the concert concerning the voice actors. Something indeed was in the works!

Exclusive back story, which will not be included in-game for Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-, was reenacted by Terra and Namine's voice actors, exclusively for attendees at Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath-. This contains heavy spoilers, so read below at your own risk.

Thanks goes to @aibo_ac7 for providing information concerning the exclusive back story, @r_kane1 for providing a summary of the information, and Kayla Copeland (nichiei.translations@gmail.com) for translating the full dialogue.

    Spoiler

UPDATE: This conversation is transcribed inside of the official Kingdom Hearts Orchestra - World Tour - guide. It has both the Japanese conversation, and the conversation translated to English. It turns out this conversation was not between Lingering Will and Naminé, but it was actually between Terra and Naminé. View the conversation below with the official English translations thanks to @jsjunshen:

Naminé: Don't worry. You might forget about me . . . but with our promise I can come back. Yes. One day the light--it will be ours, and it will bring us together. And then--I'll be in your heart.

    Sora: Right. Forgotten--but not lost.

    Lingering Will: Aqua . . . . Ven . . . .
    A Keyblade? Who are you?
    I know you. We've met before, way back when. No, that wasn't you. You're not the one I chose. Where is he? Xe . . .ha . . .nort . . . . Is that you? Xeha . . . nort . . . . Xehanort!

Lingering Will: That's it. your Power
That's what I felt within you.
The power that conects to Aqua.
    And to Ven's heart.

    Terra: Where am I . . . ?

Naminé: In your memories. Traces of you were lost, so I found you through memories belonging to those you've met in the past.

    Terra: Who are you?

Naminé: I'm Naminé. It's nice to meet you.
I'm a witch who can control peoples' memories.

    Terra: A witch?

Naminé: Right now you're bound to two memories. One belongs to you, the other belongs to an unspeakable darkness--

    Terra: . . . Master Xehanort.

Naminé: Your heart will soon encounter a familiar light. You must make sure she isn't lost to the darkness. You must guide her.

Terra: Her? You mean Aqua? I'm not sure what I can do to help, not like this.

Naminé: You must fight, Terra, like the others. You mustn't let your heart melt into darkness; follow your true memories, and you'll reach the light. She's headed there, too--to the same place. You must believe in promise, just as she continues to believe in you.

Terra: Aqua. Ven. One day I'll--I've never forgotten our promise. Never. I will keep fighting.

  10. Aqua may find a way to save Terra & Ventus in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-

In the discussion about Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in the most recent issue of Dengeki PlayStation, there may be a hint as to what will happen with Terra & Ventus in the next installments of the series. As Aqua is traveling in the Realm of Darkness, she may have found a way to save Terra & Ventus in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-. However, as for what will ultimately save the two of them, we will not know until Kingdom Hearts III.

You can read a translation of the quote made by Dengeki PlayStation below thanks to Kayla Copeland (nichiei.translations@gmail.com).

Help for Terra, Ventus, and Aqua?

The three protagonists of [KHBbS] were met with a cruel fate and disappeared from the worlds. Their situation doesn't change in [KH0.2BbS], but on Aqua's journey in the dark realm, there is a possibility that she will discover a way to save them. As for what will save them in the end, it's still a mystery, but that too should be made clear in [KHIII].

Additionally, Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has clarified that "0.5" was meant to tell the story of all 3 characters: Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. However, this was brought down to 0.2 to just focus on the story of Aqua and her journey in the Realm of Darkness.

You can read a translation of what Tetsuya Nomura stated below thanks to Kayla Copeland (nichiei.translations@gmail.com).

    KEY POINT

    What about the missing 0.3?

The number [0.5] appeared in the secret episode of [KHBbSFM], but according to Director Tetsuya Nomura, “We thought to tell the story of 0.5 with all three characters, but instead we decided on 0.2 with a focus on Aqua.” Will the dropped [0.3] scenes be discussed in [KHIII]? If we play [KH0.2BbS], will the content for [0.3] become clear!?

What do you think will save Terra & Ventus? Would you have preferred 0.5 with all 3 characters or just 0.2? Let us know in the comments below!

  11. Nomura explains distinction between "0.5" and "0.2" in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-

In an interview with Famitsu Weekly, Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, was asked questions concerning the HD collection announced for PlayStation 4, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. One topic in particular was brought up about Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-. In the discussion, Nomura explains the distinction between "0.5" and "0.2". "0.5" was supposed to be a whole new volume, as hinted at in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep: Final Mix ending of the secret episode. The reason why "0.5" was bumped down to "0.2" was because Kingdom Hearts III is still a priority and did not want to affect development for it, however Nomura wanted to give fans a taste of Kingdom Hearts III with it's new technology, which is used for Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-.

I see! Having to shake the time axis of the series to make new additions. The 0.2 in “KH0.2 BBS” especially had to have a deliberate significance.
Nomura: In the secret episode of “KH BBS Final Mix”, there was a display of “0.5”. “0.5” was originally intended to be a full volume as a sequel to “KH BBS”. But because “KHIII” is still the top priority, “0.1” took one step forward to “0.2”.
