The following contains spoilers for the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Please avoid reading if you do not want details of the game spoiled.
I have obtained a copy of 358/2 Days and have started playing through it. Over the next few days, I will be uploading videos of the game and talking you through the plot and storyline. This is the first update.
Upon starting the game, you are greeted with the starting menu. The menu contains the same art as is seen on the cover and promotional wallpapers. On the menu is two options, Story Mode and Mission Mode. I will be beginning with Story Mode.
Story Mode contains three difficulties. I assume they are beginner, standard, and proud. I will be playing through standard mode.
First, you are shown the opening sequence. This is to the theme Passion by Utada Hikaru. It shows the first thirteen members of Organization XII, along with their name, information about them, and clips of them from previous games. When it comes to showing Roxas, they show the clip from KH2 Final Mix where he is receiving his name.
After that, a cutscene of Roxas and Axel talking on top of the Twilight Town clocktower is shown. This is the 255th day. Then, it counts down to the 7th day, and shows a scene of Roxas waking up in the Castle That Never Was. You begin gameplay at this point.
